Thanks for the offer, however the NWCL D1 (North) 2nd v 3rd clash at Radcliffe (Bury AFC v Bacup) looks tasty. Plus I've never supported the home team at a sporting fixture in Oldham (worryingly, even found myself cheering on Sheff Wednesday once when I went to Boundary Park as a neutral) and don't particularly want to end up supporting Newport for the day.
Supporting Sheff Wed, How very dare you.

Thank god for that! My F5 button hasn’t had a workout like since picking up England tickets on the UEFA portal last month.

It was the 81/82 season. Oldham 0 v 3 Sheff W. Went as a neutral, Wednesday played very well and entertained me.

Went to Bolton v Watford the same season, 2-0 to Bolton (finished 19th) against the club who finished 2nd.

Harrogate reduced the numbers they were able to give to Rochdale to about 650 .

Tinpot club.

I thought we were tinpot, but this takes the fookin piss. I was at the club before 5pm (because Harrogate can't do a Barcode on their tickets according to the lass at our ticket office)

I dunno if the away stand has changed since but we took 900+ a season or two back when we were both in the Hellhole League and it was a fucking nightmare, they had about three portaloo's for the entire away following, really minging facilities, they aren't fit for football league, just interested in overspending on players and doing nowt on the infrastructure around the place.

It’s a lot less than I thought their away end held. Maybe a reduction because of their H&S failings? Given no obvious restrictions on online tickets I think there’ll be a few in the home ends… was going to be my resort if I missed out on the away terrace. It will be interesting how they cope with 650 away end when playing Bradford!

We would easily sell out the entire ground allocation for this fixture if it was allowed.

Harrogate is on our doorstep and an excellent place for pre-match drinking. I can guarantee we will have more fans than theirs on the day. We will find a way to get home tickets.

Bristol rovers been given the 1750 or whatever the away end holds and had shifted 800 or so from STHs, i’d imagine they’d sell them out.

With us having shifted 2,500 STs as well it’ll be nice to be back infront of a crowd again been a long time coming.
1,100 sold in advance so far, I believe.

Aye. I don’t doubt it. It’ll be shenanigans on Saturday with us and we’re tinpot. Best of luck to their stewards .

Don’t know what our initial allocation was from Scunny but we’ve got a second batch. Be 1000+

you can only buy in advance so hope the club have told the fans that?
Ah yeah you’re right. Just checked it and it’s hidden in the middle of all the info that sales are online only.

Not the clearest, I hope people aren’t expecting to pay on the day...

You support Mansfield

Yeah, i do, it quite easily beats that pathetic embarrassing of a shittip of scunthorpe have , as if they were seriously impressed with that when it was introduced

Mansfield’s ground is average, but there’s absolutely no comparison to that soulless bowl.

Also our away end isn’t about 7 rows of seats deep which appears to be all that ground is.

I have a feeling you don't know what kind of shape a bowl is.

You have a stand that is abandoned and bordered up like a high street shop, very classy.

And still quite easily better than scunthorpe’s attempt.

From the Mansfield website:

One Call Stadium is a ticket only venue, however supporters of visiting clubs will be able to purchase tickets on the day of the game from the away ticket booth outside the North Stand.

Scunny’s ground is quite small, think there was talk of another re-location? The away end is fairly cramped from memory though view ok. Mansfield, like Wrecsam have a decent ground marred by the derelict stand.

I’m really pretty sure that you can’t.

That’s a little concerning in fairness.

It’s always been said that if we get promoted to L1 they will commence work on the Bishop street stand.

Be handy, particularly to be able to offer more than 1800 away tickets. The problem is that side of the stadium would only have enough space to make a basic stand, but I think the owners would prefer something that has other facilities to help make the investment more feasible. Don’t think the council will let those houses be knocked down anytime soon, although it is desperately needed to improve the area.

Bloody haslam, still causing problems now.

I mean even if the stand was 4/5 rows deep it would work, being able to offer another 750 or so to the away end as you mention would make a real difference.

We tried to re-locate a few years ago just up the M181 and it was supposed to be apart of a project called the Lincolnshire Lakes operated by the council. Our chairman pumped a lot of money into this as our ground was apart of it but it turned out the project was basically a scam by another company, I think our chairman is still trying to recoup his money from the council.

For anyone that drives to our stadium this year, you'll notice a new roundabout on the M181, our new stadium was supposed to be located just off that.

The ground is a dump & I won’t visiting again this season.
When I saw it,I was suprised it passed the criteria for an EFL stadium.

Rochdale fans I see Andy Curran has been causing trouble at your club trying to get involved. He's a close colleague of a certain Lee Power so you have to keep them away.
Aye. They’ve been circling for a few months now. We were on the verge of issuing a few hundred thousand shares for sale to fans. Basically becoming majority fan/ supporters trust owned. But that’s on the back burner whilst this mess sorts itself out. It’s getting some attention in national press and the EFL now so hopefully even more scrutiny applied.

I fail to see how anyone involved in this take over attempt could be deemed fit and proper. There’s no obvious source of funds, there’s no obvious business plan. It looks and stinks like a money laundering exercise by some plastic gangsters. Having seen what happened down the road at Bury our fan base has been all over this. Some interesting stuff on the Dale forum which as a Swindon fan you may or may not already have known about Curran/Jarvis/Power et al. There are seemingly links to some very dodgy people and activities…
