Evatt done a piece in todays paper that we have a option to recall Politic in January.
If Politic plays well between now and then he certainly will be returning......He will only get better each game he plays.
We have 21 players out of contract come the summer and as far as i know he is the only one who has been offered a contract for next season.

Yeah it was mentioned at the time we signed him there was that recall option. Pretty standard for most season long loans. Think some of this might come down to if Politic wants to sign that contract with you or not. If he doesn’t I’d like us to see if can do a permanent deal maybe with some sort of large sell on percentage included or something like that.

Tough one on Politic. Bolton have looked after him the last few seasons but the contract offer is obviously not brilliant or he would have signed it. Would like to see us improve on that and tie him up long term.
He may not want to come back in January if he is doing well at vale. Way too good a player for lge 2 and wont be short of offers come next June

Aye it really comes down to if he feels he’s in Evatts plans I reckon. When I’ve seen previous comments from Evatt he has seemed rather lukewarm on him.

Even if he goes back in January I think it’s been a success all round for everyone. He’s built up his fitness. Bolton would be getting a player back who is in good form. As for us he has scored some important goals and also further enhanced ourselves as a good place for clubs higher up to send their highest rated younger players.

Things change very quickly in football and with Sarcevic going it has freed up a space in the first team.
Think Evatt will move Dapo inside leaving a place wide left up for grabs. Politic fits that roll perfectly.

Decent 4-0 win for us against Brizzle Rovers in the FA Youth Cup last night. Our academy has plenty of gems still to come through to our first team, no sign of the conveyor belt stopping.

Interesting read in the local rag brought up this: The Grecians are currently on what is a club record 14 games without defeat in all competitions, have lost just once this season, and one short of equalling the league record of 13 without defeat, and the 15 games at St James Park unbeaten is the longest in English football’s top four divisions at present.

Well done Exeter and best of luck going forward.
Sadly many of those non-defeats were drawn matches.
FGR had same problem a few years ago, hardly any losses but remained just below the top clubs.
This season FGR have suffered two defeats to Exeter's one but are 7 points better off with only 3 drawn games to Exeter's eight.

Is that 13 home games undefeated or an Exeter record perhaps? Our title winning side under Wilder we went 20 something undefeated in league 2, ending at 31 games after it carried over into league 1 also.

It's a club record. We went 28 unbeaten in the 13/14 season in L2, that remains a record for the longest unbeaten run by a first time manager I believe. We did draw like more than half though so it wasnt impressive.

I read it as a league record not a club record but based on Bottega's & and your response above I guess not.. But like I said, it was the local rag reporting it. 13 does seem low a league record.

Just the 15 more to go to equal Scunny's record, bring it on... Just less draws please

Yep, our draws have let us down. Many of which should've been wins but then again a few we were lucky to get and could've just as easily been defeats. Swings and roundabouts. Would've personally preferred a few defeats in there if we could get more wins. Points are what win prizes, after all

Its only unbeaten if you discount penalty shootouts, which seems an odd way of describing it.
Personally I would have taken one or two defeats if we had won more.

Yeah, I'd have much preferred a few defeats if we'd have won more. Agree it's an odd way of describing it, although I did see the same method used for England being undefeated, it didn't include the Euro final loss in our streak of unbeaten games because it was on penalties

A defeat on penalties is the same as losing after extra time, it’s still a defeat.

Our game with Colchester on the 13th Nov has been postponed due to their international call ups. Didn’t realise they had that many internationals.

We’ve just got the one (Ebou Adams) going away.

We had Tommy Smith (New Zealand) and Armando Dobra (Albania) last time, but not sure who the third would be yet.

That's the redacted version of the article. The original read like a press release for Curran et al.

A formal complaint was made by RAFC to the beeb, the article removed and, er, tweaked.

Time for abolishment of the licence fee...

Curran has been charged by the FA FYI. He's a scumbag.

Speaking of people of ill repute I notice the former owner of Crawley Town will be spending some time at her majesties pleasure.

He, and his brother (who I believe is already experiencing limits on his freedom) were owners of Crawley Town and it was under their ownership that we turned into a fully professional outfit (yeah, right). They also had rather large people knock on doors asking to "speak" with supporters who asked awkward questions about their stewardship.

I won't go into the.he ins and outs of our particular experiences but they are basically the same as every other club who go through this but turning up with brand new Ferraris while saying they had no cash was not the brightest thing to do.

You have my sympathy for when it happens to you.

Considering the big worry with us prior to the season was how we were going to score enough goals we have certainly answered that.

Would be even better if at the start of the season we hadn’t missed some open goals from point blank range like Wilson at Northampton.
Let it go Fella, Enjoy the ride.
