As you'll know how unbelievably average Grounds is, they've decided he's worth £270,000!

Funnily enough it was when I read the bit about Exeter that I did wonder if it was parody! It was so odd picking out your 4th or 5th choice Centre back as your most expensive asset! Just pure unadulterated car crash journalism.

Shocking news as clickbait article does its job.
Exactly - Twitter is a far better source of news these days than clicking on an advert-riddled website. The guy behind Iron-Bru and Radio Humberside Journos are far better then what the Leeds* Telegraph can offer.

*not sure where they’re actually supposed to be based now, it’s not Scunny

Some interesting mumblings going around the O's at the moment, its been said sparingly since Nigel Travis took the club over, but its believed that in the background the clubs board have been discussing our ground situation and what we could/should do.

We all love Brisbane Road, but we're now unable to do much more with it due to what our old chairman Barry Hearn did to the place from 2004-2007 by building 3 new stands and raising the funds to do so by building 6 sets of flats around the ground. in 2009 Hearn sold the lease of the ground to himself - So he owns it, well his pension fund owns it and we pay him rent every year. This has caused much debate amongst the fans down the years.

Also the East Stand which is the oldest stand which is also the away end is reaching its limit and is the main problem. The board spent money on it about a year ago tidying up the facilities/toilets and putting a new roof on it. But its been close a few times to not getting a safety certificate and in 2018 the wooden floor gave way in a part of it and it had to be fixed. It would cost a lot to knock it down and then to rebuild it again and even if its rebuilt - there is only so much that can be done with it because of the housing behind it.

The club yesterday hired Mark Devlin as our new CEO - Who played a part in getting Brentford's new ground up and in the pipeline to be built it seems. A few new off the field projects have also been mentioned as well.

It would appear that behind the scenes from what we're reading between the lines, is that the club want to start looking at the possibility of building a new stadium at the nearby Spitalfields markets - The market itself will be relocating to Dagenham shortly and leaving the site vacant.

Its all pie in the sky stuff at the moment, but I've attached a map and highlighted the area of the site that's being discussed about, only a stones throw away from Leyton tube and Brisbane Road. Nothing official yet and this sort of thing will take years to even sort.

Harry McKirdy has won the PFA fans player of the month award for January, in between relentlessly posting about Carlisle United on Social Media.

I don't know much about the bloke other than he was shouting 'let's go' in Spanish to himself and teammates when he was subbed off at our place. He seemed a bit troubled...

'Vamos' is his 'Catchphrase' I guess. A lot of his instagram posts contain the word 'VAMOOOOOOOS'.
No, me either.

This threw me for a while. My mother used to work at Spitalfields Market and I was trying to get my head around Commercial Road and Brisbane Lane being nearby.

New Spitalfields Market!

In other news Crawley have posted that there was abuse of club staff on Saturday and this will not be tolerated. Meanwhile club manager, John Yems is up in front of the FA for abusing the ref. Pot, kettle anyone?

Us Non-League lot are migrating over to football forums dot net. Check Page 3 of the Midweek Games thread currently in the Non-League forum. Basically 1FF/TFF has been sold though and it doesn't look the functionality of the site is going to improve any time soon.

Cooper's got an 8 game touchline ban for sexist comments earlier in the season.

His touchline antics keep catching up with him, think this rules him out of our meeting at Brisbane Road in March, he'd have got a lot of stick from our crowd after the way he behaved last time he was here with Forest Green.

Same same.
After 6 odd years it’s time to bow out of this forum. Shame- it’s been good. A lot of time spent in the league 2 forum so had some good banter with a lot of fans on here.
But it’s unusable at the moment.
