Notts County prefer their teams chock full of weird foreigners with a foreign gaffer and we prefer our stadiums with 3 and a half stands

We will win 8-0

The Kassam was the hipster stadium at one time. Not anymore.

3 and a half is plentiful compared to the Kassam

It's not plentiful. It is decadent, obscene and excessive.

Northampton coming around here and preaching about the virtues of grounds with less than four stands? It's like Salford City telling us how wonderful grass roots football is.

I'm sure I'm not the first to mention it but £24 for a league game is an absolute joke.

It would be a delight if the punters here were truly entirely made up of exotically facially-haired fops with ironic tattoos and deeply overpriced retro clothing, but somehow I doubt it.

You'd be surprised. I've seen some disgusting retro sports gear up Sixfields in the last couple of years.

Ah, but is it truly "retro" or are we just talking some middle-aged blokes wearing threadbare overstretched polyester replica kit from the 90s and beyond, when their fashion sense ceased to develop, but their beer guts just carried on the righteous path of true growth?

I don't think it counts as retro if you were there the first time.

Tell us about it.

Sort of forgotten about us during the international hiatus. Should be a good game, we look like a decent team at home.

Weirdly looking forward to this, given how I felt a few weeks back. I've cleansed my soul of the Salford debacle and so ready to just enjoy the event.

We're still either shit or world-beaters so 3-1 or 0-2.

Wilder in.

We created more chances etc. but we simply aren't organised properly. Northampton, despite having a much more limited team on paper, are.

Awful, awful game. Can't complain about losing, but can complain about the 2 hours I spent on it.

Looking forward to finishing 15th.

We took 999 fans. I should of been 1000 but sadly my new car broke down this morning. This softened the blow.

Seen it on Ssn. Great goal from Maloney. How he did so poorly at Yeovil is beyond me.

Defo sorting a wilder flag now.

We're not bad, we're just not good.

We've gone from being inconsistent but entertaining to just a bit...dull. Which kind of negates Moniz's appeal completely - he's not the eccentric foreign manager anyone expected and the foreign players (Aborah aside) aren't the enigmatic flair players we hoped they'd be. If you just watched us without knowing the team on paper, manager etc... we could quite easily pass as just an ordinary middling League 2 side that will never go up or down with our uninteresting tactics. Which, when you have players we do just simply isn't enough.

I think we just need a manager who is a decent organiser and will keep things simple. The individual players are good enough, there's just no cohesion or gameplan - we never know if we're a direct side or a patient build-up play side and it all results in us just sat for 90 minutes hoping Noble, Aborah, Burke etc... just stick one in from 25 yards at some point.

The only remotely interesting thing at Notts right now is the emergence of 16/17 year old striker Montel Gibson. Who is the tits.

We were a bit better than against Salford, in the same way that catching gonorrhoea is a bit better than catching syphillis. Credit to Northampton, pretty good in the circumstances, when we didn't have a pot to piss in we were abysmal, but at this level who you pick as manager is nearly as important as how much money you have to spend.

Even the biggest halfwit can now see what quite a few of us thought since Mansfield, that Moniz is a shit football manager who should fuck off immediately. Trew will no doubt be handing him a 5 year contract this week.

Yes, Ray Trew, the man known for rewarding underperforming managers.

How is Maloney doing for you lot then? Was surprised to see him on the score sheet! Glad he's getting football, but surprised he's had to drop down to L2 to get it. He was defensively sound for us in the Championship, but it seems he had an absolute mare at Yeovil.

He's a top player, really is. I too am surprised but I'm glad he's here as I think he's one of the best right backs in the division. Has been injured since the start of the season but was excellent when he joined last January and has got back to that level straight away again.
