Having you lot on the last day of the season has certainly turned from a blessing to a curse over the course of the last four weeks. We really have to be safe by then (mind you, you lot might be safe too! could be a dead rubber)

It could be an absolute bloodbath if there's league status riding on it. The fixture always attracts trouble and I'd say the local police would have their work cut out

Happy Poolie here, I think a few more will follow now someone has told us where you have all been hiding! Since we went bottom we haven't bothered with this relegation scrap nonsense , however I think we realise you have to survive one to stay in the league, so now we've joined in, hope we haven't upset anyone who thought you were just trying to avoid one relegation spot, two of you will be going down! Not us of course, were gonna get the points we need by Easter and have a well earned rest!

Hartlepools recent form is nothing short of miraculous.

But nothing has been achieved yet..if the season finished today you would be down, so more focus needed in the coming games.

Surely you will beat Cambridge at home and climb out.

On the topic, I can't really believe the turnaround. We went 352 at Morecambe and it just clicked for us from then on (although we played 451 for most of today after Harrison was taken off). We're solid, look good in the centre of the park but still not much going forward although that's improving a bit.

Still a lot of work to do but shame that either Harewood or Marvin Morgan will have to play next week. That could put a spanner in the works.

No I wasn't
The police tend to be overly security conscious at our home games, they had a major presence today, and all the dogs out... but there wasn't a scrap of trouble. That day they decided in their infinite wisdom to create a sort of moving kettle of Hartlepool fans who were headed back to the train station... all that did was concentrate the noise.

You worried Cambridge will just recall Bird? I'm surprised they haven't done that already to be honest. They've a bit further to fall before relegation becomes a serious concern for them but if they do go down and Bird helped you avoid relegation Dickie Dosh is gonna end up looking like a right numpty.

Welcome! I'm glad somebody sent a link over to you. Always held the Poolies in high regard, a few of your lads used to post on our website upthesaddlers, always light hearted and up for a laugh. How is Nicky Featherstone doing?

PS - Hope MadJohn finds his way back, great poster on TFF!

I think we'll be relegated by then. They'll be celebrating in their fancy dress, we'll booing everyone and everything.

His loan finishes next week so he'll go back anyway. He'll be gutted as I know he loves playing for us. Possible summer move, who knows.

Walsall and Pools are very similar clubs. His form has been up and down and he's been in and out the side but Featherstone was awesome today, a really tidy player with a good pass on him. Hope we keep him next season.

by the way Saddler... really hope you guys win the JPT tomorrow.

Last thing we want is someone stealing our crown... it's our competition, not Brizzle City's

Indeed we are. Featherstone was a solid squad player for us, but nothing more. I always felt that he would be a decent signing in league 2 though. I used to call him the 'retainer' when he played for us. Great at keeping the ball with 10 yard passes right and left on the halfway line, but going forward he offered nothing and when he was placed next to Adam Chambers, who is also a defensive midfielder, we looked light and lacking creativity. He was dropped whenever Sam Mantom was fit, so it was tough for him to properly stamp a place down.

by the way Saddler... really hope you guys win the JPT tomorrow.

As do I mate, us tinpot clubs need some success at times. We are going to get nationally bummed sadly.

Good luck tomorrow pal. Never liked Bristol City after their fans antics in the L1 play offs against us.

The lad who organises the Fancy Dress is an ITB message board member, hasn't missed a home or away match in years, no theme sorted yet, depends on the mood, as much as the rest of the country loves it there is a split in the fans, those that like dressing up are called the fancy dress elite (FDE), the problem is you can only have so many dresses identical, a couple of hundred max, impossible for someone like Pompey to do

at Molineux last season we (well about thirty of us, not including me) went as cardinals... to give the club its last rites in League One.

Didn't go, but was pleased to see hartlepool make a game of relegation.

In turn we could still be sucked into it, guess it's time sides down there started winning and stopped relying on others to fail

Easter weekend could make or break some teams in a couple of weeks, two defeats in 4 days or two wins could define the run in for certain teams. What's everyone's fixtures for Easter weekend?

We will gift Tranmere 3 points next Sat. No doubt.
Yes please. Though I remember us getting tanked 0-4 by the old Wimbledon in the pre-Christmas game.

Easter we're away at Stevenage and home to Luton. Can't see us managing more than 2 points from those at best.

It is good to see some Pools fans on here. Going to be an odd end to the season if Ronnie keeps you up, we go down and he comes back to manage for Ian Goodison's testimonial on the bank holiday Monday.

We've got Bury at home Good Friday then Northampton away on Easter Monday. Tough holidays for us but aside from Easter and the final day, we've only got sides in the bottom 8.
