Grimsby at home, we have a good record at home versus the Mariners, shocking at theirs though, we should both just get 3 points each at start of the season and be done with it. As for the match on Saturday, well we are starting to put some performances in all of a sudden, showing some desire and effort, though still prone to lacking concentration and letting in silly goals either just before or just after the start of each half, but fair play to Lee Bell, after the horror versus Carlisle in December he has got a tune out of us. Think it will be tight as we don’t score many, but I feel we might go mad and score 2 but with the obligatory lack of concentration and gift 1.

2-1 I hope.

You used to always beat us here too it’s only recently that we’ve started to get some home wins against you.
I genuinely cannot remember ever getting any positive result at Crewe not even a draw, I know we must have done sometime but every game I can remember has been a defeat, my lads going to this with his mates, mad bastard.

Harrogate at home.

Confidence should be sky high after Tuesday nights second half. I think we’ll win this game, but this is Harrogate so it won’t be straight forward. We’ll probably have to come from behind.

Carlisle United 3-2 Harrogate

Cook being benched having not scored for a few before, Oliver came in, did well but he hasn’t now scored for a few either, time to swap back especially given Cook’s record Vs Mansfield. Expecting a change upfront either way with Derbyshire fitting in somewhere.

Nailed on the bastard always does us as well :gr:
Opposite with us I can’t remember him ever scoring against us, and we give him loads of shit from the stands as well so if he does he would milk it.

Need to hope Wellens and co have managed to give our squads heads a wobble to get them out of this slump we've had the last 4 weeks, scoring goals has been a huge problem - Hoping the addition of Kieran Sadlier can help with this. Wellens has said Paul Smyth is out along with two others.

I would expect the game will be similar to what it was in November, Wimbledon will let us dominate the ball and hit us on the break and they will take it in turns to kick Kieran Sadlier picking up various bookings along the way.

If we keep a clean sheet tomorrow we will break a club record of 9 clean sheets in a row at home - The last player to score against us at home was Omar Bogle for Newport in October which was a penalty. I can't see us doing this tomorrow on our current form. As E10Rifle said, very likely to be a narrow 1-0.

The longer this poor form continues, the more likely we'll slip out of the top 3.

ATM we probably need 8 wins (assuming we draw a few) from our remaining 18 games to get over the line. The last 4 weeks haven't convinced me we'll do that.

Should be a good game against bradford, both sides in similar positions, like last season we lost to bradford at home but ran out pretty easy winners at VP last season so hopefully there’s another repeat.

Stopping over afterwards so sampling a few ales after not having any in jan!

Start of a make or break month for us. After Orient away this weekend, it's Carlisle at home then Northampton away with Stevenage away at the end of the month. Doubt Orient will allow themselves to be outfought again like they were at our place.
Yeah I think outfought is about right for the fixture at yours. You were the better team, although the first goal was a big deflection and if that doesn't go in it's a different game, but you deserved the win.

Great time to be playing us to be fair, I think we've only scored once in 7 games? 8? And that was an outrageous 25-yard volley. We've got key players missing, the new signings will probably need a few games to gel and we're just in a general slump. It's weird, we don't feel like the same team that was winning every game in the first half of the season and it's hard to pinpoint why that is.

But for all the doom and gloom, we do have a great first XI, solid depth in every position, and it could be our record 9th consecutive home clean sheet, plus El Mizouni is back from suspension and you've sold that gobby striker to Qatar.

0-0.

Bradford, it’s got a lot going for it.

The bars/pubs on the way down to VP are pretty decent and we know a few bradford fans from england games anyway.
Bradford has a lot of bs tagged to it from various rubbish, but tbh it's really nowhere near as bad as tagged

I would recommend Saltaire or Baildon for a decent night out afterwards. Very safe suburbs with a village feel with decent pubs/bars and cheap taxi fare back to town if you are staying there

Just let the bradford lads lead the way, but the lancs bradford fan is right though it gets a poor rep when it’s pretty alright.

Had sold 1,800 last time i looked which is a bit meh tbh

12.45 KO at Newport. It’s a bit dodgy at the best of times so that, plus the egg chasing at Cardiff and Brum at Swansea the time makes sense. Hoping for a win to kick start the Jody Morris era.

If Killip starts today I’m genuinely questioning Curle’s sanity

I think you might be right with the 0-0. I'd take that before kick-off. We've only conceded 4 in 10 but our forward line has been pretty much rebuilt during the transfer window so don't expect fireworks at the other end either.

So Killip is finally dropped

But for some weird reason so is Umerah the only player who is a goal threat.. and somehow Featherstone has kept his place in the middle

Andy Cook starts, as does Jamie Walker after his ban and outta’ no where, forgotten man Ryan East, no Richie Smallwood in the squad.

Apparently he’s had an illness all week and was nearly not included in the squad until a late decision to include him on bench
