I heard a whisper that UKIP are head hunting him - to replace Farage, aiming to boost the NO vote in the referendum.

We are pullin art, say we are pullin art.

Print that bastard :bg:

Oh please - his administration sold the club something like 25 years ago. Did we even play you in the 1980s or early 1990s? This is getting boring now. Do you hate the club or the people who post on here?

Why do you care so much? Who honestly gives a shit if no-one likes us? I quite enjoy the idea to be honest. Makes for better atmospheres.

However, once having a chairman whose tongue was firmly wedged in Margaret Thatcher's sphincter still wins.

Don't forget: plastic pitch; away fan ban; multiple administrations; incessant whining about points deductions; overwhelming sense of entitlement.

Just looking at these forums, why are a lot of people assuming Argyle are going to have a pretty shit and mediocre season? I know I'm probably a bit bias as I obviously want us to do well, but surely we are in with a shout for promotion or even the title? We finished in the playoffs last season with a manager who was completely tactically inept, now we've got a new manager who seems like just what we need, and we can definitely attract some decent players as just like Portsmouth we have a decent sized fan base and with the right management could be looking at being back in the championship in the next few years... Especially with players hearing about the Bournemouth story and the fact that we were in a similar position to them a couple of seasons ago.

But anyway...

The team that surprises us all and does very well?
Hartlepool, can see them doing a Wycombe this season

The team that starts off great but then falters as the season progresses?
Cambridge

The team that will be up there all season then mess it up right at the end?
Probably Argyle tbh

The team that will be fighting against relegation when they really shouldn't be?
Yeovil

The team that will be first to sack their manager?
Not sure... Maybe Newport

The team that will pretty much dominate the league for the full season?
Portsmouth

The most hated team in the league?
Either Luton or Stevenage

The team that plays the best football?
Exeter... Annoys me when I hear Exeter fans saying they don't want want Tisdale...

The team who just seems to have been mediocre all season, stuck in mid table?

Ha, what is the strange reason?

It is, but I wouldn't bet on it.

Tis what I'm preparing for.

Who knows? No reason at all. Just like choosing Halifax as my second team. Why did I pick them when I certainly have no ties with the town or the rest of Yorkshire? The mind boggles.

I think I better see a psychiatrist ;)

I actually quite like being disliked so much. Not sure why we are though.Reaction our non League relegation? Don't imagine any other fans would be different in their feelings. I can see why if it was out attitude when first there - but most of you weren't there to see it. We did think we'd walk it and weren't even close. Thats a 'good thing for us now and bad thing for the rest of you. We learned eventually and are a much much stronger unit between club owners management and fans than ever in my thirty years of support. Last seasons capitulation was oh well. Before they'd have been riots. We'll get it right soon.

Literally delights me that we can still inspire strong emotion amongst so many tinpot clubs. Hate us, please. Remember - plastic pitch. Conservatice MP. Thatcher's delight. Three administrations. Throwing coins at York players. Absolute self obsession. Complete sense of entitlement amongst fans - we are bigger than this tinpot league, you all know it and so do we.

You'll probably go up sooner or later, but your days in the conference were pretty epic.

That would probably be Wimbledon then, having signed Dion's successor to join the Beast:

I'll be topping up my personal insurance policy when Barnet play Wimbledon as there will be carnage if Akinde and Akinfenwa smash into each other. The team from the Large Hadron Collider will be in the stands for those games.

Smash? That implies speed and momentum. I'll let the bad physics pass but what have you got to match up to the legendary Long Tom?

You don't think Akinde can move at pace? Were you playing centre back or as a goal keeper in the Conference last year?

I will always remember an occasion Bayo went up for a header at Sixfields against two defenders. Thought it was a clash of heads and Bayo goes down, with only one defender visible. After about 15 seconds Bayo gets up and to everyones surprise there is the second defender underneath him, probably died from suffocation.

Nah - it was more a dig at p = m x v, and the Beast's approach lacking the v, than a slight on "the first player sold by a vote of his own fans."

I remember him well from his Ebsfleet and Alfreton days - always made an impact. I know he can shift and he makes the of his < 90kg(?) but compared to Sumo McNulty and the Beast, you've got to admit he's a lightweight, lacking a bit of the m.

I think Luton problem is that they think they are bigger than they are. To me your a mid table league 1 club and your average attendance backs that up.

you wont be making more noise than the gas thats for sure.

With how quiet we were most home games last season until the goals went in wouldn't be so sure about that.

It's hard to get going in the Conf when the average away attendance only just squeaks into three figures. Good to see Rovers bounce back quickly.

As for Simon. Not sure we have a problem. It's people like you that seem to have one. We're quite happy.

I think we had something like half a dozen sell outs last season - the game v Portsmouth sold out 7 weeks before the game. I think for that game, we could've easily got 13-14,000 through the doors. Attendances are a good indicator, but when you're virtually at capacity for the full season, its not as straight forward as that. Our average attendance last season was 8,700.

Think Luton will win it this season, their a solid side and with the signing of cms I can see him being top goal scorer.

Think Exeter will do well too, they've got a really good manager who knows the league well, Oxford are another one but they've got Appleton which is a definite negative.

As for relegation, it's going to be hard for Newport and also a struggle for York, think Wimbledon may have a flirt with this too.

Enjoy the season fellas.

Luton are hated because of their fans. You only have to log onto Luton Outlaws to see the type of mugs that follow them

However the Luton fans on here seem ok, although they do get their willy out quite often in an argument. We are a bigger club than you, we are too big for this league bla bla bla zzzzz.
