Supposedly ourselves, Carlisle and Hartlepool are in for Southport striker Marcus Carver who's top of the goal scoring charts in NLN. Not sure how a reliable source this is, but it wouldn't be difficult to be an improvement on any of the strikers at each club to be honest. He had a short spell with us before when he was on Accrington's books. Puts himself about but other than this season he hasn't been prolific for the various non-league clubs he's played for.

Orient fans what are your opinions on Jordan Maguire Drew who we’ve just signed from Woking, decent signing for non league? E10rifle The Terminator BogDaddyO

Played his part in us winning this league in 2018/19, signed him in January and gave the team a much needed injection of attacking quality. Left footed, but can use his right foot equally as well, puts in some very good deliveries into the box which often lead to goals and capable of scoring a few screamers from outside the box, good at scoing free kicks too. Was always a very good option from the bench too.

Had a decent 2019/20 season too with us in League Two as well, scored 6 and assisted ten I think.

All sounds great, but then as E10rifle would always say, then you realise he won't track back and sense danger quick enough, won't/can't tackle and get stuck in when you need him too, misplaces/under hits countless passes, picks the wrong passes and ends up being subbed after 70/75mins because he's run out of steam - as mentioned above, at times he came across as a better impact sub IMO.

I think Ross Embleton got too frustrated with him in the end with us about a year ago and we replaced him with Dan Kemp - who is similar but works harder and gets stuck in more, even if his tackling is a bit soft.

Jordan Maguire-Drew was with Crawley from the January transfer window and he was born in Crawley and went to the school across from the stadium.

I really wanted him to succeed.

He aint bad but when it was decided not to sign him at the end of the season there wasn't an uproar. Comparing him to James Tilley is a worthwhile exercise. Not exactly the same but very similar.

Orient fans, you likely to try and buy Archibald off us in January? I'm assuming so given that it's a move that seems to have worked out.

There is a chance yes, however with him being on a season long loan and out of contract I think in the summer I'd imagine we'll only bid for him, if you recalled from the loan (which is likely as its what clubs do when they want to sell players!) or if another club came in for him too.

Surprising given he was pretty average for us
I’m surprised how well he’s done considering how meh he seemed to be for Southend. But he has truly been excellent for us…Great in both boxes, already has 6 goals and has played extremely well every time I’ve seen him.

Perhaps it’s just a case of he’s a good fit for us. Same thing has happened with both George Ray and Jevani Brown…both were rumoured to be meh signings, but they’ve both been excellent. Buzzing that Dieng is staying.

We've just loaned Alex Battle to East Grinstead for 28 days.

I'd pretty much forgot we had signed him until he played in a Sussex Senior Cup game.

We get very little information from the club so I am going to believe he has been injured and needs some games.

Nixon linking us to centre half Paul McKay at Queen of the South who are bottom of the Scottish Premiership. Sounds about right for us.

Should’ve loaned him to Hastings.

Just based off this clip of Evatt he seems lukewarm at best in terms of any interest in bringing Politic back to yourselves in January. At the moment honest assessment he is far more effective as a bench option than a starter where there are times he can be a bit anonymous. When used as a sub he does make things happen though.

Looks promising, could see us offer them some money if we get a decent draw in an hour and a big sell on. He’s clearly happy at Vale and we are managing him well. See what happens but doesn’t look much love lost between the two.

my view for what its worth is Politic would struggle to get a game at Bolton at the moment. We offered him a contract but the fact that he turned it down instantly tells me it was far from lucrative.
Dapo has the left wing sewn up and on the right we currently have Amaechi who has just come back from a broken foot and who cost Hamburg 2.7m from Arsenal. Amaechi loan deal ends in January and if it is renewed Politic will stay at Vale. We also have Bakayoko and Katchunga who can play wide so again i dont see him coming back as a wide man. We will almost certainly be bringing a no 10 in as we have lost both Sheehan and Sarcevic....Dont see Evatt bringing Dennis back for that role so all in all i dont see him wearing a Bolton strip ever again

One of our more official blogs is suggesting his contract runs until 2023.

I suspect any recall will be later into January (or as late as possible if there's a 'recall by' date) and depend on other targets. Ideally, I think the Club would rather him play week in, week out and continue his form in L2 for the season.

Ah that changes everything then if his contract has another year on it, unless you're desperate for a change in your attacking wingers I would expect him to see the season out with ourselves then, I would imagine we'll hold out until the end of the season to see how he finishes before we try and buy him.

We have money to spend as we've had new investement into the club, but our board don't rush into these things and won't pay over the odds for things, they're usually steady and sensible.

Having said all that, who knows - come Jan 1st we may just go for it and try and buy him, he's 23 and fits the type of player we usually pay for.

Just seen this … this evening. I’m not convinced evatt fancies him at all which is a shame. I think he’s still finding his way back to proper fitness still isn’t he. I’m not even 100% sure we will up our contract offer either. Would be a great free for you

We’ve loaned our LB/LWB Jack Sparkes to Torquay for a month, which seems to have upset a number of our fans online.

Personally I think it’s a logical move. He’s missed a couple of months through injury and currently is behind Jake Caprice and Colin Daniel, so it makes sense for him to get some games and hopefully come back in January fully match fit. He should be an excellent signing for the Turks.

A few clubs interested in O’Toole including one or two potentially in L1, he’s only signed up until January. Been a rock at CB for Mansfield despite coming in mid-season.

442 magazine predicted pre-season that County would finish 1st and Missilou would be a key signing!

Would have liked to have seen more of him earlier in the season but he had no chance of breaking in the team now.

Pools apparently getting Boro youngster (no surprise there) Josh Colburn on loan in January.

Flashy Range Rover with Dutch plates at our ground today - it can only be a new signing, cos I doubt they were here to collect their Ipswich ticket.

Surely with a name like that the logical team he’d fit in League 1 is Bolton Wanderers.

Crawley have given a contract to a young midfielder named Florian Kastrati.

He came to our attention through the club in the community scheme and the club obviously think he is a cut above.
