So Northampton turn him, as far as Spurs are concerned, from a L2 player into a prospective L1 player and they just say ‘Thanks, we’ll now fuck up your promotion bid and give him to Cheltenham who are going nowhere’

Can’t see why they couldn’t wait til next season.
They might be going nowhere but still playing at a higher level. Why you bothered anyway Northampton might be promotion rivals so it's done you a favour?
I dont agree with loans at all by the way, seems to favour managers with friends in high places, but its their players to do as they please.

Ryan Loft joins Bristol Rovers for an undisclosed fee.

Played well once this entire season, got so much ability but just can't be arsed.

We'll get him playing.
Crewe fans said Anthony Evans was their worst signing ever before we signed him and now he is one of the best midfielders in this league

I’d let Evans sleep with my wife if it meant signing a 3 year deal.

A good contract and another year with us and the blokes worth over a mill

That will have been known when they took him on loan though. It's happened with us a couple of times and those players (Jimmy Dunne and Tyler Smith) stepped up a level every transfer window - both now regulars in the Championship.

Playing for a crap League 1 team is arguably a more useful experience than in a top League 2 team.

Exactly. If they dont like it they should produce more of their own players

We try to, they usually get poached. One of the problems of being in league 2 also. Ivan Toney, both Chukwemeka brothers at Villa. Ivan at least we got to see benefit us a little. Carney was signed from us when he was around 14.

O’Toole had better offers elsewhere including from a higher division, makes sense why it’s not been sorted yet. I think ‘better’ may mean length of contract than money.

Hopefully the chairman gets this sorted, he’s been brilliant for us and we’ve bee. on an upward trajectory with him in the side, id like to think that o’toole has recognised we’ve taken a chance on him when no-one else did and see if we can offer something similar.

Of course it doesn’t work like that but it would be nice

you can add Ryan Yates to that list too - now a regular at Notts Forest

Ed Upson gone to Stevenage.

Third signing of the window for us. Hope he makes more of an impact than his loan spell back in 2008 - got 10 minutes out of him away at Kettering and that's all we saw of him!

Joseph Anang, young goalkeeper on loan from West Ham, has been recalled. He was dropped for Smith a few weeks ago and with the signing of Pym you'd suspect he'd be third choice.

In addition to the three signings, we've added Jimmy Ball to the coaching staff too.

Hopefully all these changes start to make a positive difference.

Rollin Menayese sold to Walsall, makes sense, never going to play here. No idea on fee.

Clough never liked him because he can never be arsed to turn up to training on time, different environment at Walsall evidently, but he seems to be doing well so good luck to him.

Hayden Hackeys loan from Boro has been extended until the end of the season.

Great news as he's been very impressive since Hill has come in, completely different player to how he was under Neil Cox.

Had good spells in most of the games he played in! but was blowing out of his arse after an hour, the lad has serious fitness issues

Replying to Gassy.

Spot on. Plus he had a tendency to give the ball away in dangerous areas.

He's clearly a good player and should do better when surrounded by higher quality players. He does simply need to put more effort in though, seemingly caring once every 5 games isn't good enough regardless of what level your at.

We have confirmed Sam Burns on loan from Blackburn.

Sold our main striker, brought in his replacement on loan.

Pretty much sums up the current situation at the club, desperately trying to cut costs wherever possible.

He should have plenty of decent service with Nicholson, Anderson, Evans and Thomas around him. That final game will be tasty if there is anything riding on it?

Corey O’Keefe is now back from Rochdale, believe his contract runs out in the summer but he’s definitely one of the better players in this division so it’s probably just about getting the best deal for him.

Gotta be honest I disagree with Clough on this one, fair enough he’s right that we don’t play wing backs often but I’m sure you could still get it to work with him.

We've just re-signed Michael Bostwick on loan from Burton until the end of the season! Delighted with that.

That’s a great signing for Stevenage. Signings like that will keep a team up.

Can I see Carlisle making a signing of that calibre? No. That’s why I think we’re as good as down.

Today is kind of why I’ve never really seriously considered Stevenage as a relegation team as whatever you think of them as a club their owner was always going to allow them to make moves like Bostwick to help pull them clear.

If he chooses not to put the effort in -- He won't last long under JB. And less with our supporters.

He’s managed to make elliott hewitt look half decent (which i actually thought was impossible) so yeah i agree it’s odd, though trust his judgement.
