Millen suggested last night you'd had a number of knock-backs over the last week, surely you must be scratting round for players that were somewhat down the list now?
I've already pointed them towards Jacob Blyth.....

Apparently we’re expecting 2 or 3 more additions with Pitman told he’s free to go.

Rumours are Danny Lloyd is coming in. Anyone know what he’s like?
Played for us last season. He’d scored a hat trick against us for Peterborough in the cup, can’t recall what position that game. For us he was mainly used as a wide player in a front 3. Tenacious but there were some games that seemed to pass him by. Wouldn’t have minded keeping him, but he’d already lined up the Gillingham move.

As I said previous, we are every players 92nd choice of League club to sign for, so the only way a player signs for us is if they have absolutely no other option. We’re used to knock backs, I’m sure there will be a player desperate enough to sign for us late in the day tomorrow when he realises no other club are in for him, but it will either be a young kid on loan from a premier league/championship academy, or if it is a more seasoned player our director of football will no doubt fuck the deal up.

Can't help but feel properly meh about this one. Had a great season obviously when we got promoted but he's never made the step up to League Two in his career and probably for good reason. Had his chance to do just that when we got promoted but left when Stockport flashed the cash.

2 and a half year deal for a 31yr old player who’s done nothing every time he’s played at this level. Looks a crazy contract length, but I guess even if he contributes 3 or 4 goals between now and May, is the difference between going down and staying up and then does nothing next season, it’s a small price to pay for preserving football league status.

Sounds like we're trying to bring up a number of players tomorrow but it's all reliant on who we can ship out due to the embargo.

Joe Nuttall seems to be done, just need to announce him.

Ryan Delaney, CB from Morecambe is another rumour. Think Keith Hill signed him for both Rochdale and Bolton so would make sense.

It won't keep us up but it's really great to actually have a manager who is attempting to help this club and use everything in his power to keep us up. When we go down, I hope it doesn't damage Hill's reputation and he gets a good L2 club next season.

if you do get 3 or 4 in and Carlisle don't sign anyone HG might end up being right....

Oh as things stand we are 100% down, absolutely no doubt about it. Teams down the bottom have strengthened and continue to strengthen even more so than i expected. We are definitely the weakest of all the teams coming out of this month.

Only a real quality experienced centre forward signing for us tomorrow will convince me any different.

We have to double our season win total to go ahead of them and hope they don't win another game, it isn't happening unfortunately

Reports are that we OUTMUSCLED* big guns Wrexham and Notts County to his signature, sending shockwaves through the National League.

*obviously Stockport weren't going to sell him to a promotion rival.

This reeks of desperation - just one to please the crowd. I didn't think he'd make the step up when we got promoted, and 18 months on, I doubt he's improved. It's also not really a position we need unless Gotts is out longer than they're letting on.

All that talk about him needing to move clubs for the sake of his mental health has just proved to be bollocks.

That Alan Nixon has linked us with Harrison Biggins of Fleetwood, he's played 20 odd games for them this season, can't see us being in for him and it's another centre mid, got them coming out of our ears.

Got to disagree with the other Barrow fans - I thought he was absolutely feeble and most promising attacks came to an end with him losing the ball. A mystery to me that he's been a regular this season.

Thanks for this. Sounds interesting, can’t say it overly excited if it’s true - but a decent addition I’m sure

Kieran Phillips on loan from Huddersfield seems the popular speculation on Exeweb this evening. Played the first half of the season at Walsall without setting the league alight, but I hear he was being used out of position on occasion. Any Walsall able to give an idea of what he’s like and if he showed glimpses of ability?

Can only see outgoings in midfield if that's the case. Holohan possibly to one of the massive clubs in the National League.

It wouldn’t particularly bother me if Holohan left today, out of contract at the end of the season and I don’t think I’d offer him a new one either, maybe Featherstone would be tempted back down to NL, was close to leaving until DC tempted him to sign on.

Me neither to be honest, good NL player but lacks a bit of quality at L2 level. Replacable.

Mike Fondop to Oldham is on the cards? At least he’ll provide the comedy as you slip out the league.

Thinks we are in for him now, we are very strong in that department so it’s probably to replace Charsley.

Has Gotts done ok for you?
