David Amoo signs for the Vale. Hopefully the pacey midfielder we need.

Fucking delighted!

Pacey, just what we need and have been crying out for out wide. Hows his delivery though Cambridge fans?

I always thought his delivery was decent enough, the problem was we had nobody to finish the chances off.

He's a good signing, pacey and dangerous at this level. Before Brown left he was our biggest loss this window.

He is/was shite when on loan at Oxford

Yeah but Oxford... Carlisle...

I’m sure there are players that were shite for Real Madrid but would do a job if they turned up for a trial at Oxford.

Yeah. They could help build that elusive 4th stand!

There are quite a few Korean players called Moo. Sadly none have played in England as of yet.

We used to have a player called Steve Cowe. Some of us used to shout moo when he scored. Good times.

Were reportedly set to sign Alex Gillead from Shrewsbury. We already have two very good wingers so will be a back up option I assume

Excellent delivery, lightning quick and can finish. However his hamstrings cannot handle his pace and you'll only get about 60 minutes out of him before he is flagging (probably why he hasn't played higher).

We offered him a year but I got the feeling Calderwood wanted him as an option from the bench. The reason being Amoo is excellent going forward but doesn't track back and can leave the fullback massively exposed. Remember your opening day win last season? Amoo was embarrassing defensively that day.

I've always said I'd like to see him played through the middle as he is intelligent and can finish.

Happy with Amoo. We were painfully lacking in pace last season and he should help remedy that. Rhys Brown (formerly of Yeovil) played fairly well in our friendly at the weekend so if we can get him signed up too, our forward options look miles better than last season.

David Amoo, bloody hell, one of many players from the Westley era that made me want to leave the stadium with my season ticket in flames.

Didn't know he was still knocking about.

David Amoo's delivery must have improved a lot if you describe it as excellent.

For us I would have described him as quick (unless he's got the ball between his feet), quite good in the air, decent finisher, an absolute fanny when it comes to tackling or being tackled or pretty much any physical contact and a shit crosser of the ball.

Talented lad. Too good to be sitting on a bench in League 2 imo.

All gone a bit quiet on the rumour front for us. Think we made a 50k bid for Dom Telford from Bury, Lowe pretty much confirmed that in an interview last week. Apparently it’s been rejected.

Bury’s players can walk if they want, why would you bid for them?

Rumour is the Bury chairman paid him his wages so we’d have to pay a fee. Happened with Ryan Lowe. Paid his wages which I think ended up with us paying compensation for him. Crafty.

He will start the first few games with Colclough still injured but then will probably be put on the bench. If he's good he will keep his place though.

Definitely back up, he’s quite quick is the best complement I can give him.

We had one from Barcelona not long ago - was shite also.

Who needs a 4th stand when you have a car park like that for a view?

Durrell being linked again on twitter sites but can't see where he would fit in with Amoo signing, having Lloyd, Montano and Worrall as well as Conlon and currently Whitfield who are able to play out wide.

Wonder what it means for Rhys Browne too who's on trial?
