Bradford might well like the idea of Doyle staying the month. Deprives us of his services for 4 games.

Let’s be honest, there’s an awful lot of face saving to be done at Bradford. In some ways, it’s actually a lose-lose situation for them.

You recall the country’s leading scorer, can’t get a tune out of him and have to offload him again. Bowyer must be dreading it.

There’s no point really leaving it til the end of the window cos any money you may squeeze out of us will be no use as the window is shut.

It’s why Wellens thinks it’ll happen next week.

Which is why they’ll be a deadline for any possible negotiation. Why would anyone sell at the 11th hour? Can I just say, we don’t need the funds, either....we’re not exactly skint.

You live in cloud cuckoo-land you lot, honestly.

We hold the cards - bottom line.

Firthy’s mate “Mmm I think I’ll go and watch training today.
Wow that Doyle certainly doesn’t look unhappy over there I’ll text my mate Firthy and tell him”

Firthy on receiving text from said mate: “Nice one pal I’ll go and let everyone know on this football forum that I like to post on”

Sounds plausible.

So, come on Firthy. Why do think we haven’t heard from the man himself?

Can’t be busy changing his Twitter handle, either! Still Footballer for Swindon Town.

Not skint but had to offload players out before you could sign others. Right!

‘The man himself’? You mean Doyle? Well, I’d say there’s plenty of time for him to have his say. He’s always been our player, so he’s never officially left? Why would there be a statement from him?

You do realise that his Twitter is about as active as Caitlyn Jenner’s gash, don’t you? Why would that change (excuse the pun)?

Again, the complete lack of knowledge regarding the whole debacle and why he left seems to be still confusing fans (Fans: STFC) He was shipped out primarily because he was a bit shite. We were operating on the edge of 55% of our turnover (within EFL ruling). It was a case of paying his wages and not recruiting, or shipping him out in order to bring bodies in. You understand FFP, right?

I think our chairman is worth 4x more than Power, but this means sod all if FFP doesn’t allow us to access it.

Our starting keeper Jake Eastwood has been recalled due to injuries at Sheff United. Had a terrible performance at the weekend but won us a few points this season.

Leaves us with an awful starting goalkeeper now, need to bring one in.

I must say, the swindon fans seem a bit bitter about Doyle, quite understandably, I suppose.

Now, I was fairly pleased when we loaned him out after he had a hard season last year but I'm pleased he is now back, it was a no brainer really. We could not allow the most inform striker in Europe score for a rival, it just couldn't continue, especially when we're struggling for goals at the minute.

I think the scepticism around how he'll do back here is merited but having seen his goals this season (the majority from crosses), I actually think he'll do better than most people think. Last year we had no wingers for 99% of the season so we rarely, if ever, swung any decent crosses into the box and he still managed 11 goals. Now we've got wingers with a mixture of pace, unpredictability and good delivery as well as the likes of Jamie Devitt nearing full fitness, I think the creativity will be night and day to what doyle had before he left. But that is all still subject to Gary Bowyer releasing the shackles a bit and getting more of the attackers on the pitch at the same time with an attacking attitude, like we did in the last 10-15 at swindon on saturday.

With regards to finances, we're fine. People seem to forget that after loaning doyle out we also got rid of Sean scannell to Blackpool who was on near enough what doyle was, maybe more. So we can definitely afford to have him here.

I would also be amazed if we now sold him to swindon. After last season, the club have been rectifying relationships between those at board level and the fans. Recalling him just to sell him the next week would be PR suicide and there's no way the club would risk that in my opinion. Also I don't think we'd mess the player around like that either. Maybe under our former chairman a year or so ago, who had a reputation for it, but not now.

Nothing as far as I know.

We lost Carlton Morris back to Norwich then he went back out to MK Dons today.
So if Jerry is coming back here you should know soon enough.
Hope he stays with you and you sign him on a contract, the lad deserves it.

You get round FFP by your owner gifting money to the club - plus, I think, 80% on top - with no return. If he wanted to, of course.

Strange downward move. Wasn’t he up to much?

He was team mates with the MK manager at Norwich.
It's nearer his home.

He was behind Smith, Ladapo and Vassell in the pecking order, so had to play out wider than he would have liked.
He did alright here and will make a decent living out of the game but didn't set the NYS alight.

Shrewsbury fans have better memories of him from his loan spell there, so there is a good footballer in there, maybe that will show with MK?

I heard that we are after defenders and strikers, which seems odd as it's better midfielders that we really need.

I don't know why Swindon fans are getting too upset about Doyle leaving. If the rumours are true, they're about to take Brett Pitman from us. That would be an upgrade.

Could turn out to be a bit Doyle-esque. Scored regularly in the past, couldn’t hit a cows arse for Bristol Rovers.

Pitman and Doyle would be a decent strike force!

He’ll be back!

Pitman doesn't do much but he will guarantee you goals if he's fit. I still believe if he had the game time that Marquis and Harrison have had this season he would have outscored both. Decent in the air and knows how to be at the right place at the right time. Just don't expect him to pass or run.

Seen that today, I'd like him here. Hopefully we are interested and with his ex manager here he could want to link up again. We need to shift a couple though if we are going to bring people in.

See that we've been linked with Luke McGee on loan for the rest of the season - notice he hasn't played since Dec 2018 though. Thoughts Don?

Excellent shot stopper and is good enough for League One for sure. Would be a coup for a League Two club. Been totally frozen out by Jackett ever since Craig MacGillivray arrived so won't ever play for us again.

He seems to be a less prolific Twitter user than he is a goalscorer tbf

Aye, but don’t let that get in the way of the fact that he’s going back to Swindon at the end of the month.

Well, we’ve had statements from both clubs, both managers and yet the star of the show has been ominously silent.

No scarf above the head shot, no ‘delighted to be back’ statement.

I hardly ever see a ‘delighted to be back’ from a loan spell? Clutching at straws maybe?
