We’ve had the Carlisle and (bizarrely) Walsall fans taking the piss all week on the socials because we announced a new training base at FC United. This is exactly why - absolutely no chance of signings like this otherwise.

Walsall fans took the piss because we hired Darrell Clarke so wouldn't worry about that!

To be fair, I think it was just one rather persistent weirdo - but it does seem to annoy lots of people that we train in Manchester.

Scunthorpe next season will be training at Ilkeston (between Nottm and Derby). They say it will attract a better quality of player. Saves them travelling miles each day. Makes you wonder why Grimsby don’t try it.

Meanwhile Pools apparently Pools can't match wages offered by York for Bryn Morris.
Also can't match 4 NL & one NLS teams wages for David Amoo, released by Crewe.
Oh Joy.

Thank Christ on both, last thing we need is any more habitually injured players!

I've heard that Mark Hughes has utilised his contacts from Barcelona to allow us to train there from next season to attract a better quality of player

Someone on our forum linking us with Omar Bogle but I have a feeling it's Omar Bugiel. Any good Sutton fans?

We've lost Ironside who was a target man for us so on the look out for a replacement.

I might be wrong but I think they scrapped the idea and the chairman had a moan about the fans over it. That seemed more like he was trying to pull a bit of a stunt than anything.

We've also been training in Manchester for years, as long as I've been following the club. Not sure why it's fresh news for so many.

Sounds positive. Tore Anthony Glennon a new one the previous season if I remember rightly.

Bit about Bugiel there. Will be surprised if he ends up at yours as the talk is heading west (he lives that way apparently). He’s the best forward player I’ve seen defensively and puts a huge shift in every game. That said going forward and goal wise he’s not going to pull up any trees in League One (nor L2).

Closer to home? He's from the North East isn't he? He currently lives in same village as me so the knob should've looked interested and tried to get back into the frame here and he'd be at the closest club to home. Bell

Looks like Barrow are set to unveil Dave Worrall, incredible signing for them and assuming they offered 2 years whereas we wouldn't at his age but still one of the best wingers certainly at League Two level.
wouldn't be surprised to see James Wilson join him here as he knows our assistant manager from his Man United days,

He gets linked with us every season and the chances of it happening are slimmer than they've ever been

Doubt he will stop to non-league unless more money is on offer.

I hope DJ drops a league, if not, he’s guaranteed two braces against us.

First rumour for us now we’re back - David McGoldrick.

Ha, everyone has heard this now at both clubs, picking up momentum. I’m still not entirely buying it, but it’d be such a cool, romantic move. Do it, Didzy.

Alfie Kilgour - Tom Naylor CB partnership sounds very good.

Willo is being linked with Wrexham, great player, technically one of the best I have ever seen in a Vale shirt in terms of touch, movement but he is rarely fit and when he is takes 3-4 games to get up to speed. Wrexham could probably afford the luxury but isn't a sensible move if planning on having him your number 1 striker.
