Brad Potts signed for Barnsley from Blackpool. Seems we've got a decent sell-on clause so should allow us to bring one or two more in.

Replace Bogle, aka bring in a main striker. We have Vernon, Asante who is crocked and Cardwell who would have been loaned in bench fodder under Hurst in the division below.
Just so I don't get too excited.. You have no strikers, but a good winger or attacking mid, right?

It would be so us if you couldn't hit a barn door up front, but for some B tech neymar to have a blinder.

Oh yeah I get that, but I think some people think that we're going to bring in a player of Bogle's quality. Fwiw, I've seen Cardwell a couple of times and he looks half decent (this is pre-season though, as is everything).
Fair enough, hopefully he is decent. And yeah, I wasn't saying replace Bogle with a L1 quality striker that we can sell for 900k. Just looking at other teams; Crewe have Porter and Dagnall, Chesterfield O'Grady, Wycombe Akinfenwa, Accrington Kee, etc. Just someone like that who can plod along comfortably and get into double figures without us having to worry too much about drawing blank after blank, which is kind of where I feel we might be this season.

Sam Jones who is a kind of number 10/AMC is our main attacking threat. A lot of pressure on him to perform, I feel a bit sorry for him.

I'm still perplexed why you haven't signed Easter yet. Must be wrangling over money because I was told it was pretty much done.

Starting to think you might be on the windup!
I'm honestly not. I've got a mate who organises stuff with the supporters club/ club. Charidee matches, legends matches ( that sort of shit) seemed adamant that Jermaine was off to Grimsby.

Low tier money is the worst. The local businessman who will spunk his money on promotion to League 1 then realise he can't really compete there and beyond and then the club have a bit of an existential crisis and ultimately end up back where they belong.

Give me Munto or a Russian oligarch or fuck off essentially.
That was Knighton for us, not local but tinpot little Boycie who thought the wodge he'd made in property development would get us to the Premiership and then tried to pull a Robert Maxwell on us when he realised that was a tad unrealistic. Fun for a couple of seasons though.

What is Notts average squad age? Must be at least 65.

29 before we signed a bunch of youth players. If you include our whole squad it reduces quite a bit

Depends who you include, too. Nolan and Edwards generally get included but they're basically retired, would take a serious crisis for them to even make the bench.

According to Alan Nixon (Mirror) we've had a £220k bid for Kaiyne Woolery accepted by Wigan. Seems like he's coming back.

Hope we don't match that bid (we won't). Seems a lot of money for a player who's had a decent half season (?) in the league below.

FGR paying 220k for a player in the fourth tier. The world has gone insane. Maybe doomsday is upon us...

Would be the only transfer fee we've paid this summer, pretty sure most clubs will have spent more then that overall.

And what Lincoln fans need to remember is we have at least 700k from the pinnock deal.. Which has paid for pretty much all our signings and their wages..

Ahhh, finally seeing things from a different angle i.e. us and our FA Cup, league winning money. ;)

Anyway, just spoke to Steve Evans and the fee is actually £650k.

In transfer fees!?! Not in even close.

It'd be more than our spending on transfer fees in the last seven years.

James Pearson signs on non-contract terms. Presumably due to his injury record. Good bit of business should he stay fit.

Best RB in the division if he gets fit. Very disappointed as he only really left us to peruse a contract at a higher division team.

I love how Lincoln are back in my the league and the biggest rivalry for them is Forest Green Rovers.
