Okay that worked really well, let's try it again.

Federico Valverde, 26 year old central midfielder from Real Madrid seems to be the latest name doing the rounds. Would fit into the 3 or 4 decent loans along with Davies, Barrington and Luker narrative...

Will Evans moves from Newport to Mansfield. Most had Newport to struggle before this, now they've sold their top scorer, it's even harder to see them staying up.

As far as 19 year old loanees from a Prem club come, Barrington certainly looks to be a decent one but you just never know. Luker and Davies on top would be great and it’d suddenly look like a good window overall

Quality that Barrington 2 footed technician ideal for Big Daves version of 'art form' another small lad , a very technically capable team assembled but not sure how it will go against meat heads in league 2 ; we will basically just have to keep the ball for ages every game .

Technically I am sure he will be excellent. Just a case of if he can quickly adapt to men’s football

We’ve gone the other way. Ditched the small, technical types for hulking giants. The novelty will, no doubt, soon wear off!

We've signed Euan Williams, a lad we've had on trial all summer. 21 years old, released by Charlton. Plays predominantly as an attacking midfielder and will most likely be Jonny Williams understudy in the main.

Ok as it didn’t work for you that time I’ll have a go:

Lenell John Lewis, 35 year old forward from York City the latest name doing the rounds……

Any takers from this list? Feel like a few on this list would easily do a job in L2. Also feels like a lot of them have overplayed thier hands waiting for the deal they wanted, but never came. Adelakun in particular feels like he's made a big error, could have easily signed with Donny and been welcomed back with open arms, but now he's unemployed 4 days before the season starts. Silly boy.

Marosi, Guiness-Walker, Eyoma, Caprice, Adelakun all feel like good signings at this level.

There’s a part of me that wishes we would just flog Jake Young. I just get the feeling he won’t do anything here. Very much Eoin Doyle/James Vaughan esque. There’s no reason why him and Cook can’t form a very good partnership at this level, but I think Calum Kavanagh has Young’s number. Kav just seems to want it more. Very much a redundant statement based on nothing more than whatabouteries, but an opinion nonetheless.

There’s no denying Jake Young is a very capable striker at this level, but if someone came in and offered £500k-£750k, we should bite their hands off.
I would take £250k for him without a shadow of doubt

There’s this one as well

Ravel Morrison anyone?

Paul Huntington would be a solid signing for most clubs at this level.

Been said time and time again, but what a wasted talent Morrison was.

I see Romaine Sawyers is partaking in something similar. If he’s fit, he walks into every starting XI in the league.

Stockport County.
Good initiative from the PFA that, helping the players get sharp as possible to get deals. Surprised it hasn't been brought in sooner (I think last year was the first time).

Todd Kane played a couple of games for us in a short term deal during an injury crisis, thought he looked steady tbh but as soon as players came back in his position he didn't get more of a chance.

Has Connor Wickham gone anywhere? Google says hes still a free agent. Would have tought he could do a job for someone.

Buzzing. I know he didn't play much last season because of injury and Elliot Lee's form but dare I call it a tiny coup. Can't remember the last signing I was genuinely excited about. Hope it's a year loan and not just a few months

I imagine big wages for someone made of glass is what puts people off.

No doubt he has the quality for leagues 1 and 2 though.

Guinness Walker on that list was meant to be a decent prospect for Reading last season wasn't he?

The drums are beating and they’re saying Will Swan to Notts, rumour is he asked to leave after becoming enamoured by our project and padelball courts and they’ve been forced to overpay for Will Evans as a replacement

Currently building padel courts outside Field Mill so that one can be crossed out!

Have heard Swan is refusing to wait to play. He has been to Sports Direct and bought all the gear and is absolutely fuming with the Radfords because they said the courts would be finished by now.

Was playing Padel the other week.

Piece of piss to be honest. Tennis for people that aren't good enough to play Tennis.

Funnily enough Will Evans was pictured playing padel at Notts County the other month, I can only presume JR shown him our courts will be superior.

All that gloating about raiding that hotel in Bradford to snatch Johnny Williams from us as he was about to sign for us last summer went well then.

He looked very poor and unfit when I saw him.

Not sure what your point is here - Jonny is still going to be our first choice in that position, Euan will be his backup.

JW needs to be better this season for sure, which I'm sure he will be in a system that suits him rather than being played out of position all the time. Thanks for your concern though.

Well, our attacking player we signed is Panutche Camera. Played over 100 games for us a few seasons ago but a forward he isn't.

Still one forward and keeper
