Is ROD that bad Firthy?

I rate him, but our incredibly fickle fanbase with seemingly zero knowledge of lower league players, don’t - so therefore, get rid.

They would much prefer Colin Doyle because his wife loves the club - because that is what it’s all abart.

I swear we have the thickest fans in the EFL.

Thought as much, very decent keeper, did well at Walsall and Bristol C, think he would be superb in L2, as a keeper you're only as good as your defence.

Too right. They also seemingly overlook the fact he was playing behind the worst defence in living memory and he had to be a player/coach for the majority of the season.

Nothing concrete. Would expect us to go in for someone like Slocombe who’s left Bristol Rovers but who knows.
Be surprised if that one happens because he's looking at coming back over Scunthorpe way permanently, which is partly why the loan deal we had with him earlier in the season worked for all parties. He was in the middle of moving back across here.

I like him, plenty don't. What they don't realise is our defence were fucking garbage. In front of a good back four he'd be more than good enough for this level or the one above, he did make the odd howler though, but even Pickford did when with us.

Interestingly linked with David Amoo this evening, doing the rounds on twitter and retweeted by a local journalist.
Amoo would be a good signing, besides Brown he was our best and most creative player.

ROD was really liked by our fans when we came down from L1, again the reasoning behind our awful defensive record being suggested as the rest of the team. Personally I didnt think he was that great though, never made any memorable saves. Seems like a good bloke that claps the fans a lot and that seemed to get him extra leeway in my opinion.

Linked (albeit by a random Twitter account) with Jermaine Beckford from Bury. Doubt very much that will happen.

RO’D would definitely be one of the better keepers in L2 but the fact we enquired for Chapman says Bowyer is looming else where, to add to that the the Peterborough chairman says we couldn’t afford him.

That one is really weird. How much do posh exactly want for Chapman? Considering he's 29 and they signed him on a free and is now 3rd choice keeper. Unless we offered a bag of crisps for him I'd say posh were being a tad unreasonable.

Also we've been linked to Jak Alnwick.

Think they still have Barry Fry doing a lot of their negotiations, always been good at getting every last penny out of any sale.

Alnwick would be a really good addition if you got him. Was an excellent keeper for Vale.

Just seen Dan Butler has left Newport for Posh...

Big loss for County and looks like a very good signing for Peterborough

I see Walsall have had another Gas player , James Clarke.
The amount of managers who dip into the well of their old club is ridiculous.

Pity our managers old team is Macc !!

One of the local papers is reporting Crawley are in talks with a premier League striker.

A crock of shit....actually, the only way it would be true is if he was an old crock of shit!

I’ve seen Lee Angol and Keanu Marsh Brown both reported as ‘signing next week’ for us on the gospel of transfer news that is Twitter.
