Brett Pitman is off down the M4 to Bristol Rovers.

Never seen such a slow, lumbering player in my life. He’ll be OK for L2, I suppose, but I’m glad we didn’t try and keep him.

It'll be interesting to see whether Barton puts together another Dads Army side.

Well he’s been here a long time and while he is a good player, he’s apparently one of, if not, our highest earner. He’s not irreplaceable though by any means and I’d wish him well if he left. I’m pretty confident we can recruit a replacement to do as good a job.

Now if we lost either Matt Jay or Joel Randall this summer, I certainly wouldn’t be calm as both a fantastic at this level.

He had Whelan, Evans, Madden, Mulgrew, Coutts, Duffy etc at Fleetwood. I think Fleetwood had one of the oldest squads and starting XI's under him.

Yeah Randell Williams. He’s been offered a new deal but we expect him to reject it and move on. Will go into L1 probably. Fantastic on his day but inconsistent.

Interesting that Matt Taylor said Tom Parkes came back from lockdown in poor shape and was unselectable as a result!

No real shocks otherwise. Lewis Ward and Jonny Maxted will both get good clubs. Ajose will probably retire as he’s lost the plot and Fish will probably drop into non league.

Happy we’ve offered a deal to Pierce Sweeney and he should stay, but Taylor, Williams and Page will most likely leave despite being offered new deals.

So this will give MT some scope to recruit well as there’s some big earners coming off the wage bill. Looking forward to our business this summer.

However, Taylor has said today that his knee problems have stopped him from being a dynamic type forward who can play on the shoulder of defenders. Basically, he’s a crock now and we’ve not done enough due diligence which has seen us waste over £200k in wages since he signed.
