Looks like we are set to sign Paul Glatzel from Liverpool on a permanent deal. Had him on loan last season, and technically looked a class above, but struggled with injuries. It's a risky signing given his injury record, but one worth taking in my opinion. If it wasn't for these injuries he probably wouldn't be dropping down to league 2.

No rumours really doing the rounds at EP other than Quigley perhaps departing. DC wants 'something different' in the attacking department which I take to mean he wants some pace....

Pace up front wouldn't be something different, it would be something completely alien to us.

that will be why you let us sign Ben Whitfield?
5 assists and 3 goals so far......
I liked Whitfield, glad he's doing well for you. Wouldn't really say he's a striker though. He always looked lively for us when he played but injuries and our 3-5-2 worked against him.

Harry Smith seems to be getting a few mentions. Am I right in thinking he's not your typical Wellensball player, Orient fans?
He’s a 6’5 target man, so not really. Mobility isn’t his game.

He’s done ok when Wellens has started him. He missed all of pre season injured though and has only just slowly started getting his fitness back.

I’d be suprised if we let him go now without a fee tbh because he still has his uses as an impact sub.

Wellens has said we've signed someone and it will be announced tomorrow, likely to be a central midfielder, no idea who it is but I reckon it will be a youngster from a Premier League side.

At our game tonight I think. Any good?

Solid enough keeper. Tall but sometimes looks a little shaky coming for crosses - nearly dropped one into his own net last night. Good shot stopper, generally solid. Because we try and play out from the back we've been working on his play with ball at feet which has improved but still isn't great, gave away a goal last night passing the ball to the opposition. He should be a good signing for Sutton I reckon. I imagine we're getting a cheap young replacement so we can add to numbers up the 'business' end of the pitch.

heard Flynn was after him when he was at Newport crying out for a target man here if he is available?

Tyreik Wright, winger loanee from Villa. Thoughts Walsall, Colchester (Salford) fans? Initial thoughts is this rules out any hope of Pereira coming in.

Hartley wants 2-3 signings today, we live in hope but probably going to end up crushed come close of play tonight.

Yeah, I saw that on twitter. I wouldn’t read much into it.

Any good, though?

Only one game but thought he was garbage against us the other night, looked a yard behind at times. I only remember him because the commentators mentioned him a few times.

Depends on what you want from a midfielder and how you are set up. Our midfield is very hard working and mainly (apart from Morris maybe) being used box to box, whereas hunt is a pick it up from defence and move it forward quickly and he will try things that sometimes won’t come off which will make him look poor, but also will make him look great from time to time. He is a bit lightweight so could do with a bit more meat on him but also very good set piece taker.

Majority of our fans would welcome him back I think

Your info's been bob on 99% of the time and I mean this literally must be on 15 outta 16 called, other than EVIL Old man Wild at Barra ruining the 100% streak, but we have to bring bodies in today, there's no way we don't surely?

Reports we are getting Marcel Lavinier on loan from Spurs. He's on the naughty step after refusing a new contract there.

Second signing of the day announced shorty - probably 10am.

The clues so far all point towards Pereira return.
