We've 'offers' in for players, but not expecting anything till late next week if you listen to the drivel coming out of Pools, in others words, thruppence ha'penny bids, we'll end up with some loanee shite from above.
We’ve had offers in for players loads of times, but they’re obviously not good enough ,as we never sign anyone of note.

When I saw that loan transfer earlier, first thing I thought was that Firthy would be happy.

As an outsider, a bit worried about your lot to be honest. It's a shame as I like you as a club and always enjoy playing you. Great fans too

Just heard a pearler from Hartley regarding Tom Crawford.

"He has to keep working hard in training and take his chance when it arrives.
Just like the players in midfield have to keep thier places"

Which means after 5 games without a win, the players in midfield are doing enough to
hold onto thier places.

BOLLOCKS.........

Should just man up and say Crawford and Shelton are not needed.

Signed Eli King on loan from Cardiff until January. Many Cardiff fans saying the lad is ready for Championship football let alone League Two football but they owe us for getting Wintle and Ng on the cheap.

Think this means Oli Finney will be off out on loan and potentially Regan Griffiths leaving either on loan or a permanent to non league clubs.

I expect another loanee and potentially a free agent coming in by deadline day if we can offload those two and maybe 1 or 2 of our first year pros who need a loan move to play regular first team football at a lower level.

The mail reporting we are looking at bringing Joe White back in on loan from Newcastle, a player who massively underwhelmed at back end of last season, even if he was played out of position a lot.

Another desperate last minute rummage around to see who’s available as we have fucked up yet another transfer window.

Playing through the middle he looked good, but Lee chucked the lad in the deep end and played him as a winger/wideman, looked totally lost and his confidence was shot to bits.

Completely agree, looked good when midfield and getting his foot on the ball, my concern is that we have an abundance of CM’s even if the majority are utter dross. And lacking in attacking areas. Hope he’s not being targeted as a wide player or a second striker off Umerah.

But......... Pell is a fucking wanker.
A wanker who's gained a wealth of lower level EFL experience since leaving us 7 years ago. We need more experience to lead the youngsters.

Returning players generally haven't worked out for us, here's hoping it's different this time.

Just full on panic stations isn't it. Only 5 games in but we look fucked already.

In his preview for the Rochdale match today Betsy again said he will be moving players out and bringing some in.

Doesn't say who but I doubt if the out goings will feature in another league 2 side (maybe Mark Marshall if he leaves).

Edit: Owen Gallacher gone to Gateshead on loan until Janary. Started the first game last season at Hartlepool, got injured and has probably had 3 outings since then. Left Back. No idea if he is any good or not.

Nathan Thomas is without a club I think, maybe not willing to play for nowt.
No thanks

Would love to know what “head of recruitment” Chris Trotter does on a day to day basis.

I think he was the one who got Umerah across the line and signed Cooke, Lacey, Sylla.

Umerah is a good capture at least which you can't say yet about any of Hartley's deals. Cooke's not really what we need but still them 3 aren't the worst of the players signed.

That said, why do you need a HoR at this level anyway, if I was a player I'd probably appreciate a club's interest more if the manager or chairman gave us a call rather than a slimey recruitment bloke telling you whatever you want to hear.

I reckon either Pools or Carlisle will end up with Mark Ellis by the end of the transter window.

Alex Hunt to us on a perm deal is pretty close, would be a decent coup given his potential

Rumours of Christian Saydee from Bournemouth on loan.

Be cracking that - if true.

Yup.
He played well in cm,especially in the win against Barrow, but was shunted onto the wing to make room for goldenballs when he returned from suspension.

Sylla looked decent last week.
The touch of an elephant, but actually won plenty of tackles &set up the odd attack.

Once he was taken off,Bradford waltzed through us at will.

Yep he's hardly Busquets but I'd give him a run at the base of a midfield 3 with Shelton and Crawford either side at the weekend. Featherstone has to drop out for me, we need more steel in there. Shelton is box to box, Crawford not so much but covers more blade than most of the midfielders we have and can pick a pass. The only concern I'd have if Featherstone ever gets dropped is that there's not much leadership or experience in there.

Well you are reckoning wrong, at least on the Carlisle bit anyway.

We’ve been rumoured to be interested in him for a number of weeks and we are after another CB, so kindly refrain from offering him anything please. Thank you.
