I was there.

We were better than the last 2 games...but my goodness Burton were poor. Toothless up front, and prone to stupid errors at the back. Surely they will improve on last nights showing?

as for Dale... we did much better, and Odoh rightly given mom for a good shift including a mazy run leading to the penalty.

The crowd played their part too... only 1600 but made more noise than when we've got double that number.

Like everyone else; hoping for a good draw.
It does sound promising, but I won't get carried away just yet, as a few have said Burton were poor. Let's just hope we can take this into the weekend and that RS is learning something at last.

Beat the Gas 1-0. Nichols goal.

We had three shots on target! All from Nichols. Twice through on the keeper first time hits the keeper and the ball is cleared. Second time hits the keeper but ball bounces back to him to tap into the net.

We won so that's good. Gas had a half decent side out so that's good. We still are so slow in our build up so not so good.

Our side was very similar to what we would have put out last season. Only Addai, Nazeed and Conroy started from this seasons intake.

Hopefully, this will give the players a bit of confidence.

Casey
We virtually ( as it currently stands ) had our first team out. Poor result for us but a thoroughly deserved win for your boys. Good luck in the next round.

Nine Championship sides played lower division opponents last night. All nine were knocked out. I can't see us adding to that remarkable tally tonight. Blackburn will be overwhelming favourites and I think they'll put us away by a couple..

How come Norwich played last night yet Burnley and West Brom got a free pass into the Second Round?

We won’t improve. If we continue with this idiot we will be back in league 2 next season. Nailed on. We are conference north standard currently.
Good win for you thought, take nothing away.

Some of the goals we conceded last night were incredibly poor. Highlights the importance of signing some competent defenders over the next few weeks, otherwise we’ll be in big trouble.

Wba play on Thursday. Do you mean watford?

The second and third bottom clubs from the previous season's premier league join
the current premier league teams not in europe in r2.

I did not attend but a rather unfortunate 2-1 defeat against Derby in a decent crowd it seems.

Everything thinks we need a CB except the manager at this point.

Second round draw/numbers:

Looking forward to tonight’s draw, as there’s not many teams on this list that would be a poor draw.

Hoping for L**ds home/away or any of the so called big boys home/away.

Wouldn’t mind a trip Burnley or Everton.

Crewe obviously made a lot of changes but still a morale boosting win that. First clean sheet of the season. Will be an entirely different affair when we play them in a month or so.
Aye I think the fitness and the confidence gained from that will really do us good with a slightly kinder fixture list coming up

Yeah, nice to see PH have a little tinker too as he is sometimes too cautious to do that in the league. Looked like the rubbish Glennon was a menace out on the left wing. The defence and central mid spots are picking themselves right now but he's got some thinking to do in the wide spots up top as everyone who has played there in the last few matches has stepped up and played well. A nice problem to have when you've only had Clifton and Sousa (no disrespect intended) for the majority of the previous season.

Happy to get a winnable boring tie in the 2nd round with the possibility of one of the biggest clubs in round 3. A big cup payday could be the difference between Harris having a promotion budget or a mid table one.

To that end, any of Colchester, Crawley, Newport or Walsall at home please. Otherwise Brentford away as I haven't been to their new place yet.

We've played friendlies in the past against Everton and WBA, but never a competitive game. As we've got Rayhim Tulloch on loan from the Baggies, it would be rude of us to beat them, so a trip to Goodison Park will do.

Would like to get a tie against either of Villa/Everton/Leeds/Leicester/Newcastle or Wolves.

Cue Shrewsbury away

Expected a battering tonight and that’s exactly what we are getting, currently 3-0 down.

Good draws for the Stockport and Grimsby lads. At home to Lincoln, not a dream tie by any stretch but definitely a winnable game to get in amongst the biggest of the names.

Good win for us last night. Sounds like we played a much changed and inexperienced Reading side but can only beat the opponent in front of you. We made a few changes too, fortunately the drop off between those that made way and the guys who replaced them isn't too great. Evans has built a competitive squad, we don't have huge numbers but all capable of offering something.

Really encouraged to see us nick another late winner, 84th minute vs Tranmere, 95th vs Stockport and 89th last night vs Reading. So often in recent seasons we'd face a setback, be it falling behind or conceding a leveller and there was almost an inevitability that we were going to lose, this group seem to have a little bit more about them.

Saxon Earley seems like he'll prove to be a good loan signing. Changed the game vs Stockport at the weekend, apparently played well last night again, getting a goal too.

Peterborough at home in the next round. Not the best draw, at least it's not away.

You got your wish!

Home tie v the Barcodes is good though our recent cup games against Premiership opponents have seen a couple of pastings.

Sheffield Wednesday away. Meh. I'd have much preferred Blades. Hillsborough is bloody miles from the city centre.
