Ours is alright.

Decent team at home, near on a full house, better than going out away at Northampton.

Dyche may have a very good championship record for Burnley but his cup record is woeful...won 3 drawn 1 lost 8...(including defeats against Port Vale and Accrington).

4 teams playing each other in the cup before they play them again in the league the following Saturday, with 2 teams playing each other after they play each other in the league on the Saturday before.

Shame Burton weren't so poor last week!!! Don't know why I'm reading this thread, as were out, the league cup no longer holds any interest to me. Wont even watch the final. Imo they should do away with it and upgrade the FA cup. Replays in FA cup until a winner is found (remember 4 epic games against Everton and 5 against Arsenal from my youth, even though we eventually lost both it created great excitement and fan interest) and the winners going through to champions league would imo rekindle interest in what was once a magical competition. Maybe I'm getting old but neither now seem to generate much interest, so maybe it would be worth sacrificing 1 to save the other. Rather than both dying a slow death. Anybody agree or is it just me being a grumpy git?
Remember saying a while back, I don't really see the need for 2 domestic cup competitions. What does league cup offer in itself, exactly? It's just a far less prestigious version of the FA Cup. Had genuinely forgotten Man City won it last year until they mentioned it last night, and I couldn't for the life of me tell you who won it the year before. FA Cup and then the Football League Trophy to give smaller clubs a chance at a trophy and a Wembley trip is all you need.

And with all the big clubs moaning endlessly about fixture congestion it's only a matter of time before it dies a death I think. And that in itself might give the FA Cup a boost, along with the much-needed CL qualification for the winner as you say
