Loss of seedings is a blow. No guaranteed PL or top EFL side for those of us minnows who get through. Not sure why they've done this.

See big 6 clubs whinging about too many games and getting rid of the league cup, why not just ditch the group stage of the Champions League, most of which is boring anyway and instead have a two legged round of 32. 4 less games in autumn and less travelling. Job’s a good’un.

And/or they could pick the weakest possibly squads for the League Cup games and get knocked out early.

OR, the Prem teams could grow a pair and stop rolling over to Sky demands to play when it suits TV audiences.
