You guys do realise how complex the algorithms are in producing the fixtures, don't you? They don't do it to piss you off. Not everyone will be happy with the outcome.

Curzon Ashton....and Carlisle
I could see Carlisle very much trying to block that Newwport away change, even though our lot are usually gutless.

worst travelling season ever for our fanbase, plus I think it was 4 6 hour midweek games already without posponements and cups

fans would go nuts if that got moved to a night game...........Sunday may be better

It's ridiculous but I'd rather get the long trips on Tuesdays. I rarely go to Tuesday aways so the closer ones being on Saturdays works for me.
Yeah absolutely, I wouldn't have went had it been on a Saturday anyway, but it's horrific for anyone heading down from Carlisle.

Our first midweek home game is in March, whereas we play 4 away pre-Christmas.

Opening fixtures aren't too harsh on us, so hopefully we can start the season with a few wins.

Then I hate those complex algorithms ... twats. Coming over here, sorting out our fixtures.

Not quite the seaside trip I had in mind. Still a chance to see Hendon again.

A great set of fixtures for our first 5 home games as well which should see some good crowds at The Hive.

.

As I said previously, any Carlisle fans who live in the Carlisle area doing most of the away games should be getting either a Season Ticket free, or else a discounted one.

would be some much needed good PR from club if we did it.

but them die hard lot will plod on regardless of 6-7 hour treks being Tuesday or sat....to be honest from my own experience if we have got Plymouth in August/September I'd 100% rather it Tuesday than the horrible August M5 Saturdays with numerous roadworks or crashes usually meaning massive tailbacks......that road is a nightmare in August.

I'm pleased with the scheduling of our fixtures although Newport County at home on Boxing Day is a bit odd! Portsmouth away in early September means that we do get a summer seaside trip this season!
Leyton Orient way on the first day means that I can be back home by 5pm and hopefully able to enjoy a beautiful summer evening in the park!

Looks like Habbinalan's getting his sheepdog based desires come true.

I see no real bones of contention with that fixture list. We did discuss in the summer whether reserving the Saturdays for local(ish) fixtures and putting the long away trips on Tuesdays would be a better idea, and it seems the FL agree.

Nice to get Barnet home early... do 'em up the bum while they've still got some optimism around them.

Slightly disappointing in getting Stanley away on boxing day, they're not local enough, for me it's either Hartlepool or Morecambe, though we do get to welcome the God of football, Rakish Bingham to Brunton Park on the 28th... I hope he comes bearing gifts.

Quite like the idea of playing Mansfield on the opening game, but that is more a thing limited to this forum with both our clubs having lots of fans here.

For some reason our Tuesday night games are all away in the first half of the season, and all home in the second half.

Overall, decent.

Our last three opening fixtures:
- Southport (away)
- Carlisle (away)
- Accrington (away)

:hb:

Oh well, at least it means we'll take a much bigger following to Accy than under normal circumstances.

The other two that stick out as terrible are Morecambe and Carlisle away games, both on Tuesday nights. Doesn't get much grimmer than that! I think the reverse fixtures are also on Tuesday nights so I expect low crowds all round for those fixtures. A shame, as I really enjoyed the Carlisle trip last season and haven't been to Morecambe's ground before. Also a shame that we host Bristol Rovers on a Tuesday as I suspect they would have filled the away end had it been on a Saturday.

Other than those, ours are actually pretty damn good. All the good away trips on Saturdays. Pompey away on 28th December a stand-out. Cambridge and Notts County away games back to back in September, those should be fun.

Not too bad, essentially there's a decent spread of away fixtures which is always nice on the pocket, Pools on the Tuesday night is probably the only one which disappoints me, maybe Luton could have been on a Saturday as well.

Rotherham followed by a few days in Cumbria feels like a good way to get the season's away days off to a good start - and the breeze off the Solway should be warmer.

Barnet away may have to be sacrificed for a trip to Patterdale Sheepdog Trials with dad over the Bank Holiday.

October's a write-off due to foreign travel - would have liked to fit in the Exeter/Yeovil double header before the dark nights set in

Starting at home again, against Yeovil so should be a decent crowd. Having Northampton as our first league away is as dull as anything. Disappointed to have Pompey and Dagenham as midweek games. Will still go to both but it's more difficult to make a day out of it.
Last 3 away games are good. Yeovil, Rovers and Luton. If we're in the mix they could all be sell outs.

Barnet on a Tuesday night is disappointing. Wimbledon also on a Tuesday, have to see whether I can muster the will to go seeing as I've been to every other game there between the two sides. Hoping we've got something to play for at Pompey on the last day too.

Sure it's their turn to be moved.

Don't think ours will be anyway, Sunday is out as the ladies are already playing at ML that day and the police aren't going to fancy Notts vs. Mansfield on a Friday night.

Aye. So clever and complex that they stick us at home to Mansfield the same day Forest are at home.

It is because you both asked for an away match first game of season as the test match is on at Trent Bridge on first game of season.

Apart from having to go to Morecambe on a Tuesday followed by a Saturday trip to Hartlepool, not too bad.
Two home games first up against AFCW and Pompey should get reasonable attendance.

That'll be Notts police at their best. I've never known any bother at a Mansfield vs County game, why would there be?

Who do Forest have?
