Nothing special really.
Wigan is only about 6 miles from Bolton so you'd expect a club with their fanbase to have a few thousand just down the road for a big derby.
If they'd taken 6,000 plus I'd have been more impressed.
It did sell out within 24 hours, i think 6000 would have made the trip easily if more tickets were availablle,

Can't understand why they didn't give you more tickets then - it holds 25000 and they could easily allocate 8 or 9,000 to the away team if necessary.

Just having a little bit of a mess around on a quiet BH weekend. Will do these for each team. Anyone have any requests for what they would like to see displayed? (or if I'm not displaying anything right). Is it best mile per fan or fans per mile?

Not sure of our exact number at QPR on Tuesday, but it was a sell out, with something over 2,100 mentioned, and a few Oxford in the home stands too.
Away end didn't look full to me and as for Oxford in the home ends what a romancer you are.

We're away to AFC Wimbledon next Saturday, 4th September.

For some reason it's taken until today for our club to be able to announce ticket details, as they've been waiting for Wimbledon to confirm them. This seems very late to me, considering it's a Bank Holiday on Monday. To further complicate things, we haven't yet received the physical tickets from them, so are unable to sell them at our home game against Lincoln tomorrow, meaning Tuesday is the first, and only, day tickets can be posted out to online buyers, to ensure they get them on time.

To add further insult to injury, we've only been allocated 1,000 tickets when Bolton were recently allocated 1,400 for their fixture there. We sold out Cambridge away, and also QPR in midweek, so would 100% have sold out 1,400 at a new ground not far away.

WTF is going on AFC Wimbledon, this is piss poor.
Well Bolton are a bigger club than you.

Alot excel inputting that - if you do best fan mile numbers Wednesday, Sunderland or Plymouth will top it...MK Dons will be bottom. What about Fan Mile Numbers / Home Fan Numbers - that should be interesting, I reckon Plymouth will top that - if we were in this League we'd win it mind...

Thanks for the input. Once you get the basic template, it's easy enough to do! You never know - a few more years!

Just had a look and your last six posts have all been about Oxford, and all negative or trying to take the piss.

So, what happened then? Get beat up at Oxford when you were a kid or something?

FWIW the away end at QPR didn't look full on the night either, but we sold out all of the tickets allocated to us, and there were Oxford fans who paid on the night to go in the home stands. Don't really know why I'm explaining it to you actually, as you seem a right twat.

I'm assuming you've never been to the DW before. It's not like Gresty Road where you can just open and/or share stands wily nilly depending on the opposition's support. It doesn't matter who are you are here, you get one stand with your 5k and that's your lot.

They had to move the seg a whole block yet still we were spilling into the gangways in the lower tier.
I didn't have a view of the upper tier.

Attendance was confirmed as 2058

International callups put the game in doubt. As it happens we had only two rather than the possible three so it's on. That said, our new ticketing system is an absolute shambles and heads (or rather one particular head) should roll for it. Bolton and Gillingham games were both announced as sell-outs but the official attendances just released both show 2,000 short of that. That's £60k in revenue pissed away at the time we need it most by the incompetent charlatan we've managed to employ as CEO. Not like we've had 18 months to get it right before opening the new stadium or anything.

Is the ticket system digital tickets (and Ticketmaster) as a load of clubs seem to be having screw ups with it?

Thanks for the reply.

Sounds like a shambles, and I wondered why you hadn't published any official attendance figures, but can understand now. It still doesn't explain, though, why somebody at your club has decided not to give us the full ticket allocation? Or is it the person you refer to? Or maybe Met Police sticking their oar in? Whatever the reason, an explanation would be useful, (from AFC) even if everyone our end would likely disagree with it!

BTW, we have had our own issues with a slightly dysfunctional new ticketing system this season, and as you say, it's not like they haven't had 18 months to get it right!

Our ticket system problems are down to Ticketmaster I think. Still rubbish though.

Yeah, I think the blame lies with Ticketmaster. Which makes it even more frustrating, as they're supposed to be ticketing experts, and have had a year and a half to sort themselves out!

Indeed it is a shambles .We are yet to receive an explanation as to why we haven't yet received our season tickets. The ticketing and the season ticket situation is a mess at the moment. As to why Oxford have only been offered a 1000 tickets I have no idea.

We don't use Ticketmaster though - it's an outfit called SecuTix. The problem seems to be our debenture tickets, where you pay a fee for 10 years for a specific guaranteed seat if you choose to take it up for each game. Looks like the system can't cope with those seats not being used, so they never end up on general sale even if they're not actually sold to debenture holders - and that's where the couple of thousand shortfall comes in. That's only guesswork though because the silence from the club over this and why season tickets haven't been sent is deafening. We were told that the problem there was with the fulfilment house but two weeks later we've heard nothing and the tickets still haven't arrived. It's a shitstorm of our own making and we clearly haven't got the right people employed to run things on this scale - and they're certainly not prepared to take public ownership of the problems, communicate what they are and sort them out. I'd be amazed if they're still in their jobs this time next year. As for why Oxford only have 1,000 tickets - absolutely no idea. I'm not sure it's even possible to segregate that end where there are 1,400 seats.

I’m good friends with Wimbledon’s Chairman so I asked him why he only allocated Oxford 1000 tickets and his response was ‘just to piss off that eric read guy from 1FF who’s obsessed with away support figures’.

He also said that whenever they are next in the same division as Bradford City he will do the same to them to get a similar meltdown from F-I-R-T-H-Y.
