Whereabouts are you hoping to get to on the saturday? I've got a Gills mate who lives in Sheffield who's travelling down with a few Blades on the saturday, they always come down for the weekend and they're a good bunch!

Whitstable is certainly a cracking shout if you're after a quieter weekend - some great pubs and places to eat. Does help if you're a fish fan though.

Whitstable or faversham are the options will decide this week.

If you do go to Whitstable, and the sun shines, it's a cracking place. As well as the Neptune, there's a cocktail bar on the High St ( can't remember the name) and a new little micro brewery place also on the High St. The pub just behind the Whitstable Oyster Company is also good. For accommodation try one of the fishermans' huts right on the front. That's not a piss take, they're brilliant, but pricey. There are a number of other pubs, great restaurants (especially if you like seafood) or you can just chill out outside the Shack on the seafront with a few beers and oysters or fish and chips.

Hope that helps, but looking forward to speeding Wilder's exit from Bramall Lane by beating you on Saturday

Yes cheers mate. I've no doubt you'll win on saturday

To be honest that's ideal. Our match is on the Sunday at gills so a full day session on the saturday is perfect

What sort of places do you like drinking? Once you know which town you're heading to I'm sure the Kentish contingent on here could provide you with a decent pub crawl or two!

Tbf Whitstable sounds a good shout with the advice of here and there's a festival at faversham which could also be a good shout. Just a good full day session with numerous pubs will do I'm not into that nightclub scene.

If you're struggling to find somewhere to stay then nearby Canterbury would be an option. Normally I'd say Whitstable with the quirky shops, (micro) pubs and seafront food options is excellent, but the Faversham Hop Festival is brilliant, albeit very busy, you can walk from pub to pub drinking in the street, taking in the atmosphere (hops in your hair) plus most pubs hosting live music. Canterbury has plenty to offer too re food/drink/history... If you fancy a pause in the drinking you could even take in Faversham Town vs Cray Wanderers in the FAC1Q. As Gills fans we'll be doing the Hop Fest on Saturday... On Sunday in Gillingham, if you like real ale join us in the Will Adams...

Support the new ground and once it's built you can have at least double that when it's built I would have thought.

Kingsmeadow only holds 4,800 and we have quite a few fans of our own...

We won't need double its only 11 less than we took to wall the other day.You can buy tickets on your end easy as owt well you could on Monday anyway

There aren't many left in the first place once season tickets, comps and segregation are taken into account

Yes I meant you didn't need previous purchase history which I would of expected as it's full every week. Where's best for a few pubs somewhere on route to the ground? From st pancras

Drink in Wimbledon or Kingston, both on trains from Waterloo and a short distance from Kingsmeadow by bus (131) or train. Norbiton station is nearest, about a ten minute walk.

If you're short, get there early and get down the front. The view from the away end is dreadful.

Cheers. I'm 6 foot 5 mate I'll be fine I would of thought.

Surely more than that? How far is it?

I don't think they brought loads more than that last season when doing well mid-season and for a first visit. 600 would be perfectly acceptable turnout.

Think they brought just over 850 last year but cant find the exact number, so should be something similar again.
