251 Cheltenham last night. We sold out Oxford away next month in 2 minutes of going on sale to season ticket holders

It's more to do with the dogshit allocation you provide tbf.

You're getting more than the minimum % (10%) required by a decent amount so approximately 550 more than the 1,150 we would have to give you as a minimum.

You're entitled to 10%, or 1,250, so be grateful another 500 of you are allowed to come and watch Oxelona.

If I had my way you'd get the 1,250 and no more, but the shit layout of Kassam's shit stadium means we can't sensibly segregate it that way. Sooner we're out of there the better.

Our local radio station tweeted this morning we're preparing for 4000 Wednesday fans next week, they've sold 2000 tickets, going to be cosy in the away end!

I don't know why Oxford don't give away fans 2500 like they used too. It's not like they sell out every game is it.
Why should we? We give away teams roughly 15% of the stadium capacity (1,750), and the EFL rule stipulates 10%. This has been mentioned several times before on here.

The main reason teams get 15% is the stupid layout of the stadium that makes it difficult to segregate 10%, so count yourself lucky. It's our home ground, and we're not in the business of giving away teams any sort of advantage by allowing larger than necessary allocations.

For the last three home games we've had less than 1,000 home seats left, and for today's game it's possible that there won't be any empty home seats. If we gave away fans 2,500 it would be at the expense of home fans, so a complete non starter.

Out of interest, I think Portsmouth allocate what, 2,000/2,500 away spaces? A lesser percentage than we do. People in glass houses and all that.............

Some teams in the lower leagues really need to relook there away allocation. We played Morecambe and they recorded the stadiums record gate 5.600 and odd beating the record set earlier this season when they played Shef wed 5,300 The stadium holds 6,400 so in effect in these big games they are losing 1k fans
Away allocations are sold out it is the home support that leaves the stadium not at full capacity.
I agree they need segregation but they need to give the away supporters a bigger end to maximise potential

Isn't it over 15% at Pompey currently cos of stadium upgrades so reduced capacity

1700 is fair enough for me. Especially compared to Fleetwood

We gave Leyton Orient the entire North Stand for the game that relegated us to the conference. Not a chance will we do that again under the current owners who don’t need to make a quick buck.

We gave Aston Villa a bigger allocation another time and the interior doors segregating fans were breached and led to serious disorder. We now have reinforced doors at one section so limiting the ability to increase allocations.

As for Sheffield Wednesday and Portsmouth allocations clearly it’s purely because we are a smaller club than you and bitter that you have more fans. :dk:

Yeah exactly this. We’d rather part sell our terrace along the side to our fans than fill it with away fans if we can help it.

Not sure what the percentage is. Most clubs bring less than a thousand. Wed ,Charlton and Sunderland nearer 2000. But yes the capacity has been reduced cos poor old FP is falling down. Lots of plans for upgrade at last some work has started.

229 Crewe at Cheltenham, couple of 100 down on what we usually take there but of the back of 7 straight defeats not too bad.
