Rotherham United 2-1 Lincoln City | 9,575 [1,209]

I was surprised how good your numbers were, they got behind your lads very well even after coceding 2 early goals and looking like getting a drubbing in the first half.

How the game changed in the second half, we were hanging on and very lucky to get all 3 points.

I guess that makes up for the win we should have had at Sincil Bank but I was very impressed how you got at us .
Our subs actually made us worse and with 10 minutes left I thought we would lose, thankfully Vickers had other ideas.

Sounded like a much improved 2nd half from us After the 2 early goals, I fully expected us to collapse spectacularly, but 2nd half sounded much more like the recent Sheff Wed game! Great see Hopper back on the scoresheet after a long period out injuried.

Bolton v Portsmouth off on 26th April due to some mickey mouse internationals, would gave been a decent turn out from Portsmouth, could be a dead runner for them by the time it is played

Heard there were 33 Fleetwood fans at Wycombe tonight. That's got to be the lowest away following at this level for a while.
Looks as though there were 61!

Charlton's home gates were inflated because of their fill the valley campaign when season ticket holders could bring 2 friends for free, they did this for 6 games and got some excellent crowds between 21000 to 26000. Unfortunately the games since the offer finished have attracted some terrible crowds of below 9000. At least they did get big crowds during the offer which shows they have potential, unlike Wigan who did the same thing against Sunderland and got less than 15000 home fans, for a top of the table clash, some of them dragged along by season ticket holders as they support other clubs.

The reported crowds for those Fill the Valley games were inflated as well. They counted thousands of tickets that were not used rather than the numbers actually attending.

The capacity at the Valley is just over 27,000. They recorded a 24,886 attendance for our game. It was a good crowd but there were significantly more that 2,000 empty seats (we only took 1,700, leaving 1300 empty seats in the away end). I'd guess the actual attendance was less than 20,000.

For all, if not just the vast majority of clubs, the announced attendance is based on tickets sold. I remember going on a tour of our safety set up at MK and them saying that those figures help out the safety teams etc so in case of an emergency they know the maximum number of people they need to account for.

Surely it’s not going to help them out much in an emergency if they’re looking for people who aren’t actually there?

They are still good crowds considering their form. I'll be looking forward to our visit there next season' Always a great away trip

Agree.

Result aside, it was probably one of the Top 5 awaydays in a season of cracking awaydays.

Excellent stadium and atmosphere. Direct train from Radlett on ThamesLink, cracking pub by the river (Anchor & Hope).

Don't be doing any bouncing in that stand.
I've been in it twice with just a few hundred away fans and you can feel it moving I'm sure :sb:

It certainly doesn’t feel the safest especially if you’re towards the back, damned awful in a gale as well. Took my sister in law to a match when it was open to home fans a few years back, it was blowing a hoolie and pissing it down, lost 3-0.

She’s vowed never to go again too.

Ive also vowed never to go again. Been once on a Tuesday night, even a 90th minute winner didnt persuade me enough to go back!

Wycombe had a good following considering how many they get at home.

It's so depressing another season in this league

Now I must be a bit weird because of all the leagues we have been in (all being the bottom 3 and only one season in the championship) I like this league best. Of course I want promotion, of course I'd love to see us in the prem, but I find this league the most enjoyable. Some good clubs and some poor clubs but I don't mind that. Wonderfully diverse grounds. Also I find it freindly. My local is a dedicated away pub but I always go there before a match and it's never hostile.

Yes, I must be weird :gr:
