Anyone who does that one at present deserves a medal. The thought of Aaron Donnelly up against Ladapo sends shivers.
Tbf he will be against Hirst rather than Ladapo. And Hirst is definitely better in my view.

Where on earth have all Ipswich's supporters come from? I genuinely can't remember them bringing more than 1,000 on any previous occasion in my lifetime. If you sell all of them though for a tuesday night game, fair play

It's not just their away following, their biggest ever home attendance average is just over 26.000 in 1977, they might even beat that in League 1. They have only averaged over 25.000 about 3 times in their history. Maybe it's a Southern thing ,Brighton are getting their biggest ever attendances. There is a North/South divide in even football , half the United fans who come drive up from Buckinghamshire etc

I’ve been to oakwell 3 or 4 times and it’s always been under 1000. Since the takeover a couple of years back it’s been insane. Even last season finishing 11th we had our biggest home average in 10+ years. Speaks volumes of the current ownership and the previous ownership. I couldn’t even give my season ticket away for free under Evans/ McCarthy. Shows what can happen when the club values the fans and wins games of football

I'm sure I read somewhere else that there's been a significant spike in attendances since Covid as well, so that's probably playing a small part.

No it’s not. We were almost top 6 for the whole season we lost in the play offs to Norwich in 14/15 and we only averaged just under 20k then.
So much more positivity with the club, ambition visible from the top.
Ticket prices are going up next season, and I can imagine there would have been complaints with that before the takeover. It’s clear the supporters’ money spent is being used on and off the pitch much more efficiently and so I haven’t seen a single complaint

Yeah I think a lot of people were fed up of being stuck in so much during Covid. That said, 5,000 going from Ipswich to Barnsley on a Tuesday night is frankly insane. I hope they sell them all as it would be an incredible following.

I’d say it’s far more that Evans is no longer owner. Since he has left every season has been higher than any of his ten years as owner. Majority of his years we were in the championship but fans were voting with their feet.

This! Our old owner sucked any positivity out of the club. The new owners are so much more engaging and doing everything to get the community involved.
Even when we made the Championship play-off semi final against our local rivals Norwich, it didn't sell out. Now we're in league one and selling out our home games.
Of course, part of it now for the next few weeks is the prospect of potential promotion.

It's crazy to see. I remember going to matches in the Championship and the attendance was like 14k, but in reality there would be less than 10k in the ground. Now it's difficult to get tickets for some matches, especially if in a group!

Not many seats left in the Bolton end for Monday's game with Cambridge, they could possibly open the South stand lower tier for home fans as it's been empty all season apart from the visits of Derby and Sheffield Wednesday, no one else has needed it , even the mighty Ipswich. :bl: half that stand was always allocated to Bolton for the first 6/7 years in the Premiership, till crowds dropped off after Gary Megson.

If we don't win tomorrow (and actually even if we do) you'll probably be able to fit our stalwart regulars in the top corner of the Franking Sense Stand. Plenty of room for more home fans. You could even stick us in a couple of hospitality boxes and have the stand to yourselves.

I'll be surprised if there's more than 300 travelling, with it available on iFollow, Bank Holiday traffic on the motorways and lots of CrossCountry and Avanti West Coast Trains cancelled.

And the fact we generally get spanked at Bolton, especially likely with us second from bottom and them in the play offs.

You’ve sold 350 so far.

I know it’s been said many times before, but really is the best football league in the world, isn’t it?

Lancashire Trotter, you seem well informed with crowds etc, why have Bolton not opened the other half of the South stand ?, Seems only about 50 tickets left in the home part, not including corporate which won't be sold out.
