You wont average a thousand even if you win every remaining match
And what do you know? It'd be harder not to i would say considering we are averaging around 700 now with 1,800 at Burton on the weekend too.

A 1000 average over a season should be a given to clubs finishing in top 3 especially teams around the Midlands.
I agree, I'd say if we do end on that its a bloody good effort though considering we will probably end on an average of less than 5,000 home supporters.

I would be amazed if you averaged over 1000 by the seasons end.
We shall see, if we don't drop off the promotion race I can't see why not. We've done it before.

Places like you lot, Chesterfield, Sheffield United won't be far off a thousand if not over.

Port vale will boost it hugely if anything to play for, if we are done, still 2,000. I'm half hoping they still have a play off shot for a big gate all over and a corking atmosphere

I never said youre away support is shit imo i think its one of the more dissapointing ones in the division though given league position. To average over a 1000 you will have to be travelling in big numbers regularly and thousands to vale too.

slightly off topic as it is League 2 , Plymouth took over 2000 to Yeovil last night, was amazed to see it is 90 miles, so that is a cracking effort in midweek. Rochdale and Accrington didn,t muster 3000 between them last night at the 2 home games.

For us lot up here 90 miles midweek is an arduous journey. For Plymouth it's a game identified as a derby when the fixtures came out. Good following though obviously.

That's pretty shocking from Dale, 1,700 is in lower end league 2 Accy/Daggers territory.

If Port Vale is worth anything on the final day, our away following will be the same size as a normal home gate, circa 4k. Take away a few family/OAP's and it may be 3.5k. It all depends on our position and how we play tbh. I'd imagine we could take 1k to Chesterfield/Oldham and Sheffield United - with 1.8k at Burton and a big one at Vale on the final day. We could nudge 1k. I'd be surprised if we didn't take a reasonable following to Gillingham at easter with it potentially being a big one.

Have you ever brought close to a 1000 to us? Not being an arse like, genuine question.

Re the 1000 averages, think last season we took 5 x 1000+ followings and 1 x 3200 following and we were still some way off averaging 1000.

Think I remember 600 odd under Smith where one of your lads equalised late on with a spanking volley and you had 10, we made a racket that day too. Different if it's important and near the top though isn't it. We used to travel well to Rochdale, but for some reason, never travel well to Oldham - despite good reverse followings at the Bescot.

You'd need to average 1,378 from your remaining games to average over 900, or 1,665 to average 1k.

Yeah, zilch chance. I didn't think we would anyway, but the point I'm making is I expect some decent followings for a club our size in the next few months. For us to have had 5 or more 1k + followings in league and cup by February is practically unheard of for the last decade.

2202 Bury Fans seem to have gone under the radar because of the 1614 Rochdale fans.
Bury having hammered Colchester on Saturday infant of 3310 home fans lost 1108 fans due to this being a midweek fixture against more glamorous opposition.

With Bolton not doing well I would have though more Bolton fans would attend as that Bury home following is an absolute disgrace.

Do Bury fans think they will bring 1000 to Wigan on Saturday? I was thinking 1200-1400 but with the poor attendances at home and the away followings going back to the norm after the early season push I am thinking more like 750-800???
