Think we will have 800 odd at Oxford. After the summer we have had that is a cracking effort

Any ideas on how many AFC Wimbledon to expect on Saturday?

Was thinking 750-1000?

Decent that. We've got another 250 for Bolton not sure why they don't give us the entire lower tier.

We've sold 'around 1500' for Southend on saturday. Not bad, but disappointing if we don't take the 2k.

No great surprise, always thought the idea of a boycott on opening day was never going to happen. Chances are the ones who moaned the most will have been first in the queue for tickets! £30 is a bit minty for L1, but it isn't far off what we sometimes charge. And at least it's a decent away end at Bolton.

Hopefully Saturday will go better than last seasons nightmare at Gillingham...

It takes the same amount of time from cov to swindon as sheffield to bolton. It's a piss poor following
You're going to be challenging at the top end, Coventry are likely to be in a dogfight at the wrong end as it stands.

When was the last time you played at Bolton out of curiosity?

But that's not the following - it looks like we'll sell the 1900 allocation comfortably. I'm not going to apologise for a following of nearly 2000 to a game 1 1/2 hours away in division 3 in the middle of holiday season.

About 5 years ago. Played there 4 times Inc Saturday and sold out every time actually 3.5k,5k,5k both fa cup and 3.7k this year.

Bolton's ground and facilities are probably 20 times better than ours. I reckon there won't be many seats left in the away section.

Good stuff, but the reasons I gave explain why you're taking more to Bolton than they are to Swindon. Whereas you haven't played at Bolton for five years, they've played Swindon every season for the last five years.

I prefer your ground to The Macron to be honest, it was one of the worst away games I've ever done, dull on and off the pitch.

Not that I'm overly bothered about away fan statistics but I think that's a good point.

And? What did you average last season, 1650? In a league full of northern teams. Nothing wrong with that at all, but let's not pretend you take those numbers everywhere.

Swindon is hardly the best of away days (not horrendous at all, but not the most attractive either). It is our 5th visit there in 5 seasons. Last season, the biggest away following at Swindon all season was 1700 - and it was Cov who took it. I repeat, 1900 is decent enough, and it might be one or two more if they allow pay on the day.

Didn't you have about 3 toilets for 1500 fans?
At your place? Two portaloos between 2,000 in the Stratton Bank so I was informed, but I didn't go for a slash at anytime so it didn't affect me. The facilities at Bolton's gaff are decent, but I still prefer yours as a ground and as an experience.

1650 for a mid table team is more than decent. 1900 would be reasonable I said 1300 would be shit. Swindon is a toilet tbf and I understand more people would go to bolton over swindon. But we would take 2.5k to swindon if it was on Saturday and it's an extra hour for us and were both pretty similar size clubs.

Why's the allocation only 1,900 at Swindon nowadays?

To be fair to United, they did bring 1800 to us last season, and we're their furthest game, and not exactly attractive either.

I do not give a solitary shit how many we take tbh. I'll be there watching Magic Marvin hit a hat-trick whereas Leon Clarke will miss 5 pens and then join Wolves.

Why do you even care, you'll be in the pub after 5 minutes of the game.

I actually enjoy Swindon away, but a few people I know are giving it a miss - a lot of them got drenched last season in the open end, and many others are on holiday anyway.

We'll take much bigger followings than that to games much further away next season. I'm not sure you'd take 2.5k, why do you think that, just because its opening day? Maybe, but I recall you took a poor following there for a play off semi a couple of years back - but yes, you had lost first leg iirc and it was televised.

On the opening day IIRC? A good following yes, but Coventry's also will be if they sell the 1.9k, which I imagine they will.
