Mansfield announced there was 1,300 or so stockport fans, which was incorrect, they’d already sold out and the away end confirmed this.

Assuming an error from mansfield, though i’d imagine pete will give the correct one.

Stockport last two efforts were bizarrely only 900 odd so it’s about time they sold it out.

Quite a few empty seats in North stand , stags reported only 1391. Could the hatters be just buying tickets for the loyalty points.

1579 Wrexham in a crowd of 12,104 at the Posh.

Great effort from both sets of supporters.

Worth noting that attendance for Peterborough is larger than any they managed in the normal league season last time bar one, but of course it's nothing to do with us. ;)

Rotherham United would like to inform supporters that a Safe Standing section is to be introduced in the Mears Group South Stand from the 2024/25 campaign onwards, following a request from the Sports Grounds Safety Authority brought about by the behaviour of some travelling supporters last season.

This is set to be actioned as a result of a series of potentially dangerous crowd behaviour issues in the away end in 2023/24 which were brought to the attention of the SGSA and now require the club to implement a Safe Standing area in the Mears Group South Stand in the interest of safety. It was also made clear that the alternative option were we not to install Safe Standing in this area would have been to reduce the capacity of the South Stand.

The change in Law regarding Safe Standing within football stadia has seen it adopted more widely across the leagues, but we would like to stress that this is not a decision the club were set to make without external influence. Whilst we acknowledge the rationale of the SGSA for the installation of Safe Standing to safeguard the well-being of away supporters, we have only reached this decision following several ultimately unsuccessful attempts to deal with the matter through communication and stewarding.

At present, there are no further plans to extend Safe Standing to any other areas of the stadium but it remains a topic that will continue to be reviewed both at Board level and in conjunction with the SGSA and local authority.

**********************************************************************************

There's no comment as to whether the capacity will rise or fall by much, or where in the stand it will be built. I would think it will be the left hand block so that the best views are retained for seated spectators.
The other option is to spread it all along the top for a number of rows, who knows.

One thing is for sure, there will no doubt be a clamour for the same in the North stand for home fans if it works well.

I'm assuming the south stand is where away fans are all housed, and not have any on the sidelines?

Odd that we’d not count away fans that didn’t turn up but then count home fans who didn’t turn up, but dodgy that one!

In reality i thought stockport had 1700 in there, you could tell they were all stood up and by the stairs at the back.

Away teams normally get the option of a 2200ish allocation in the South Stand.

If we look like we are in with a chance of automatic or play offs towards the end of the season and demand grows, expect that to be reduced as home fans are allocated part of the stand and teams will get about 1200.

Any teams with a few hundred travelling fans will likely finish up on the side of the East stand at the South stand end and the South stand then gets opened up to home fans.

I'd imagine there'd be a high interest in our game come October, would be disappointed to not have a larger allocation. I'd say that 2 hours away we'd sell out, seems like most Wrexham fans I know have done Millmoor and not the NYS, or not done either (i've not done either).

In October you will get full allocation, its April where it starts to get dicey if we are doing well.

Still missing total attendance and away following at Crawley vs Barnsley
And at Blackpool vs Wycombe
Also the Wigan following at Birmingham
apparently 4704 (847) at Crawley vs Barnsley
and 9143 at Blackpool

other than that seen estimates of 1500 Wigan at Birmingham and 200 Wycombe at Blackpool.
Do these look realistic?

Anyone know the correct figures for Barnsley v The Gas?

BRFC has 9,325 (337 away) whereas the BBC has 11,196 total.

What’s the full allocation currently and what can it go down too if big Steve somehow gets you there for April, think we visit in April! Didn’t go to the game the other week in thst shit cup as wanted to tick it off properly in a game that counts

The full allocation has been reduced over the years since the stadium opened 12 years ago.
It now seems to be around the 2200 mark as Huddersfield sold out last week and that was the figure given.
From memory, in previous promotion seasons we have allocated around 1200 which would tie in with the 10 per cent rule for the capacity of the ground.

If teams only want a few hundred the can be housed at the southern end of the east stand, which is the area Mansfield had the other week.

Yorkshire post has

Attendance: 9,325 (337 Bristol Rovers supporters).

The 11,000 figure is very similar to Barnsley’s last home game vs Northampton
