How can Fleetwood pay out 10k
They don’t he’s a loan player so that will be his wage from his parent club however I’m not sure how accurate it all is…

This suggests we pay our vice captain and one of our most experienced players Tom Pett £600 a week! But pay Rory Holden three times that who’s on a six month contract to prove his fitness after two years out!

We allegedly have a wage cap with a bonus (last year for top 7, this for being top half).

I'm absolutely certain Gregory and Windass earn more than Paterson at us

Ours is hilariously bad, at least half of the players they list don’t play for us any more.

I'd say that's wildly inaccurate, personally, but who knows.

As for Derby, there is absolutely no knowledge of what our business plan is or our contracted players. The only thing we heard, again probably from bad information, is that we're capped to £8k a week contracts and have an overall wage cap that's inline with our turnover - probably 60% of our income as per other restrictions in this league. I would say Bird, Sibley and Knight are going to be on £10k+ based on when they signed new contracts and sitting on pre-existing contracts. Bielik will be on £20-30k but obviously not here.

60% of our turnover would be between £10-12m (assuming for a £10-12m drop in revenue for relegation) and we are 'well-below' our wage cap so maybe around £8m would be about right, but I am positively sure those individual figures are incorrect.

Sean McConville will be on more than £600 a week even at Accrington.

Football manager is probably more accurate than that… because clubs and Sports Interactive share data. Some clubs even pay for the scouting data from SI now.

Wages are always difficult anyhow due to bonus's.

We have a base wage cap but then have various bonus's (this season for example I believe each week in the top 12 triggers it) but last year was top 7 in L2.

I cant imagine we are the only club on a largely incentive based model but obviously that allows a fair move over wages.

Oakley-Boothe might be on £6.6k/week at Stoke but we're certainly not paying that whilst he's here. Doubt we'd have paid £3.1k/week for a short term deal for an injury prone Jacob Davenport either!

Three of the top five for us are (or were) in on loan from Premier League clubs so little surprise they earn so much...would view the figures for the rest with a large pinch of salt.

This is interesting lads. What would the league table look like using this info

It's so accurate and on the ball that it has Southend, Scunthorpe, Bolton, Bristol Rovers and Cambridge in League 2. Coventry, Rotherham and Gillingham are in League 1.

If the figures are "about right" our top 4 earners have been injured for most of the season, 9,10 and 11 have also been out for >1 month, >1 month and >3 months. Our (excellent) keeper for the last few months is on £400/week?

Not sure but don't both teams share the player's wages when he is on loan?

Not sure. There's probably some that pay all the wage and some that are paid to give the loanee game time.

Crawley and Bolton may have fallen into the latter category in the past. :hypo:

We’ve had some information regarding our wage bill and finances, very close to what I mentioned earlier - £8m wage bill - which roughly translates into 40% of our turnover and no contracts above £12k a week - including for all bonuses and otherwise.

Translates into a huge profit this year of several millions which would be an extremely good for a rebuilding business.

12k is more than double what our highest earner was on at the end of last season. Since then we’ve given new contract to Santos etc so may be a bit higher now but nowhere near that.

Derby County’s revenue in the Championship was roughly £30m so you take £10 or even £12m away based on relegation and other factors, it’s going to be around £18-20m turnover. £8m wage bill (maximum) and we’ve got ‘plenty of movement’ works out around 40% of our turnover - include for other running costs you’re likely looking at £12-14m in operating costs which should equate to £4-6m profit - certainly several million anyway.

It doesn’t account for much, of anything, at this point as we can’t spend it.

You won't turn over 18m.

Seems high that, if you based the average gate of around 25000 and said £20.00 a ticket average (which is likely high due to season ticket costing less per game, kids and concessions, ticket sales alone are only probably around £9 Million which is likely an over estimation, so £9 million income from elsewhere is not likely.

From our previously posted accounts:

Match Receipts are going to be roughly the same, ticket prices have gone up significantly since those two years in question.

TV revenue will be down to around £1.5m (maybe more given the amount we’ve been in TV - especially with the West Ham game, but negligible figures in actuality.

Sponsorship will probably dip by a couple of million, maybe a bit off the commercial and hospitality too.

Ultimately a £18m turnover is still a conservative estimate.
