I am curious to see who wins which awards as being new to the League 2 forum i have no idea what a lot of posters personalities are like, so these awards might give an idea who is popular and who is erm, undesirable, as it's hard to really tell from just the last few weeks of posting on here.

Allow me to introduce myself. I am hellogregory. I cleaned up at last years awards. 4, or was it 5? awards.

But I don't expect to retain many of them to be honest

Evening everyone, and welcome to the awards night... we've managed to secure a real coup here, only possible because he was controversially overlooked by Roy Hodgson. The awards will be presented by the one and only... the greatest footballer in history and one of the finest gentlemen of the twenty-first, nay, all centuries. A man that should need no introduction on this forum...

Enter Rakish Binhgham stage left, wearing a three piece suit and top hat and tails he designed himself during half-time in the Hartlepool - Mansfield game.

The first award is for best thread of the season. Rakish is handed the gold envelope. In truth, this one was never in any doubt and nobody is surprised when King RB reads out his own surname. Although this isn't a personal award, as the creator of the thread, Glasshalffullpools is called up to the stage to collect the award from his hero in what must be the proudest moment of his long long long life. The Bingham thread was the only one to collect more than a single vote. Joint runners up include Oakey's Predicta, the Promotion and Relegation threads, The 2015 awards night thread and (guess who) thee Carlisle v Wycombe match-thread. Someone also voted for Worried Wombles' ref watch, which while excellent, isn't really a thread.

Less to celebrate for the creator of the next award, which is for the worst thread of the season. In second place is 'Bingham', much to the relief of both our honoured guest and the man stepping down off the stage clutching the previous award. However the runaway 'winner' of this award is Eric Read's oh-so magnanimous celebration thread 'Goodbye Losers'... Needless to stay this award will have taken the shine off an otherwise good season for Oxford and will result in Mr Read being hounded out of the city.

Our next award is for the worst set of fans on the forum... I wonder who it could be. Could it be jealousy, but the four clubs who got promoted account for over half of all votes cast in this category. However with third place shared among Northamton, Wimbledon, Bristol Rovers, Wycombe, Barnet, Mansfield and Notts County, is it Hartlepool who edge into making second place all their own... The 'winners' of this award though, perhaps with a certain thread influencing people's opinions, are the Oxford fans. It must almost seem like they never won promotion at all for them now, the level of distress brought on by the last two awards.

In the award for best set of fans on the forum, all three places are shared, such a lovely bunch we all are that we can't decide who is best.

Sharing third place, are Barnet, Hartlepool, Mansfield, Wimbledon and Northampton
Sharing second place, are Carlisle and Bristol Rovers
However, sharing first place are Dagenham and Redbridge (who shall be missed) and Cambridge United (we can all breathe a sigh of relief they didn't go up).

Apologies for the technical issues, I had to restart my computer because I've had it switched on doing work all day and it got a bit squiffy.

So to speed things up a little I'll do the awards in pairs. The next one is for least and most biased posters.

An array of people come in third place for most biased, with one vote each, and I won't bother listing them (because one of them is me), but second place is between Aber Gas and This Tinpot League, both of whom might just have been right about their respective teams' qualities... however the official most biased poster is (unsurprisingly) *drumroll* Carver.

On the other side, those who received votes for least biased were mostly being unbiased because they had little to be biased out, so congratulations are in order for Vanni, who had much to be biased about, yet managed to restrain himself. It was quite a close battle in the end but the winner definitely had nothing to be biased about, but also is generally known as one of the fairest men in football (behind Sepp Blatter of course). It is of course, Murphy... well done chap!

Next up we have awards for sunniest and gloomiest outlooks in the league. So without further ado, here we go.

Pessimism seems to be the default mode for most of us down here and while last year's runaway winner HelloGregory managed to remain in joint second place, it is two newcomers to the division (via relegation of course) who complete the top three. Sharing silver with HG is TheTerminator who's regaling of just how fucked up things are at Orient has probably made him seem just a little peaky... however taking the title by a large margin, we have Nottingham's moaner-in-chief... RavenBish, but it could almost have been any of the not-so-merry men and women who call Meadow Lane their home.

Optimism on the other hand is a rare quality and standing out for their cheery (and sometimes rhyming) manner are Gashead and Oakroader, both fans of recently promoted teams you'll notice. However the winner of this one was pretty much named so as to win it. Step up to the stage one more time please, GlassHalfFullPools
