Loss, 8 defeats in a row for the first time in 34 years, people still happy clap Davis off the pitch.

Not even going this tonight and expecting a first sub 3000 league attendance for 21 years.

"If you can call it an advantage getting relegated early we have to use the extra time we have wisely to prepare for next season."

"The whole club we have to draw a line under what's happened, we're all disappointed by what has happened, not least the staff, but it's time to move forward, draw a line under it and see if we can work towards being successful next season."

Ahahaha, amazing. Collins going for the Joleon Lescott approach of finding a positive out of being relegated, superb tactic there James. That'll get the dissenters on side.

Also good to see that they've already carried out a postmortem of whats happened and have already moved on. Here was me wanting them to save it until the end of the season and do it then. Nope, done it already, moving on. Fucking clueless, absolutely clueless. This guy is honestly the most out of depth bloke I've ever seen. Everything that come out of his mouth is pure unfiltered bullshit. I hope to god we have a mass of absentees tonight. Maybe a crowd near the 2,000 mark will make them wake up and smell the shit they are peddling.

Words cannot describe my disdain for Collins. He's got absolutely nothing about him, should be well out of sight of the first team in the Academy if he's going to make such outlandish statements like that. He lacks the mentality for such a huge role, and to think there are some people at the club who want him to be our next manager?

It won't happen, but both Davis and Collins need their employment at this club terminating. If we are outplayed by Colchester tonight then surely alarm bells will ring in the boardroom. However, I feel they'll take their buried heads in the sand approach they've been taking for the last three years.

I think the crowd will be around 2500 but it will magically be announced as a smidge over 3k.

It's nothing to do with his management skills though. All to do with "developing our own coaches". Desperation for "one of ours" to be manager. Similar reason to why Steve Holland was thrown in when nowhere near ready, just incase he went to Spurs. And why Gudjon was probably appointed to prove fans wrong. Club is one massive ego driven, delusions of grandeur bubble.

Oh sorry, also forgot the conflicting messages from the management. On the one hand, we have Steve Davis telling us that the aim of the club is to develop players, not win games. But then on the other hand, the club are now trying to convince us the aim is to win games and have a crack at promotion next season. So which is it? Are we prioritising winning games? Or is it about developing players?

Oh and I missed out the best bit from that interview:

"If you look at the league above too, Charlton have had a right go at putting the kids in," he said. "It's not easy to do that, it takes a brave club to go that way but here, I don't see any other way. If there's someone willing to come in and put £2million in then maybe that's a better way, if you know someone then let me know and I'll introduce them to the chairman. If not, we have to produce our players to sell and to keep the club going."

Smug, arrogant, patronising tosser. The way the club treat the fans is an absolute disgrace, yet some mugs keep going back for more.

The crowd given out is 3,094 with 103 away fans making the trip.... #crewealex

I'd call conspiracy, but that would be them showing way too much intelligence. Disappointingly high, was hoping for something in the 2,000-2,500 range.

Got to be false figures. Looks like you could compress everyone in the Main Stand into one and a half blocks at best. Equates to give or take 1.5k. Add in no more than 500 from the other stands.

Regardless of what they publish, the club will know full well the true figures. Too deluded to care, mind you.

It's definitely sub 2000, 3094 is pulling our legs.

Gutted, perfect weather for football and I couldn't be arsed to go because I hate how this football club is being run and managed. I hope tonight's amount of no-shows plays on the board considerably.

Weird game, felt more like a training match played by two utterly shite teams.

Davis was widely derided for taking off Bakayoko in the 2nd half. But think he did it to keep Kirk and Ainley on the pitch whilst giving Haber some support up front. Haber was terrible, but not sure he deserved the jeers when taken off. Not his fault Davis plays him as a lone striker.

I've no reason to doubt the official attendance. Biggest cheer of the night seemed to be for the 103 Col U fans when it was announced.
