Everyone did PPG, it's not some big conspiracy to keep you down

For people who don't like being called scousers you certainly seem to share their mentality

What a load of nonsense. You could blame another dozen clubs for your relegation. You blame us because we finished just above you!! . That about sums it up.
No we blame you, amongst others, for refusing to play out the season due to crying poverty. We were prepared to play why weren`t you? Could it have anything to do with us taking 7 points out of you in 3 games, having a game in hand and being due to play you shortly after? Your chairman was basically demanding the season was stopped as soon as the first round of games were cancelled. And we weren`t relegated we were demoted

We’ll all have something new to moan about tomorrow.

Tranmere still bang on about our floodlight failure in 1992 when the game was abandoned with them winning 2-1.

I still hate Swindon for charging £23 back in the early 00s

PPG never really benefitted anyone in the long run.

I think you need to get over it. Anyway for what it's worth I didn't agree with the decision regarding PPG. As for the game tomorrow I'd be happy with a point. We have a few defender's out tomorrow but we are on a decent run without actually playing that well. We were decent against Orient a couple of weeks ago. Small margins decide a lot of games in league 2.

The point is that the season could have been played out to conclusion behind closed doors making PPG unnecessary
True. And personally I would've been fine with that. But the shit flung by some tranmere fans at the likes of Wimbledon and Dale was and is silly. We were two small fish in league one but you'd think with the way some of your lot carry on we both had some huge sway and had the EFL over a barrell and conspired to keep Rovers down. At the end of the day every proposal from Tranmere funnily enough kept them up and had they been in ours and Wimbledon's position they would 100% have voted on PPG. Its in the past and we're all down here now.

Looking like a home sell-out at EP tomorrow, depending on how many Orient bring it should be another 10k crowd, love it
It will be between 600-700 I'd have thought, we sold our original allocation which was 600 I think. Suprised the tickets were A4 pieces of paper with a barcode on it tbh!

Last visit to Edgeley Park was September 2009 and we lost 2-1 and put in a rather damp squib of a performance, haha.

They have to be A4 so they can include the comprehensive in depth match report on that time they beat Bradford 1-0 away.

Expected a few more with you being top and no train strikes this weekend.

It's an A4 piece of paper with a barcode on it if you print it off but didn't you get it electronically? You just get the PDF up on your phone and they scan it.

Home sell out tomorrow. Mainly down to the fact they've said they're showing highlights of the Bradford win on the scoreboard screen at half time.

Go on then, we all love a good story

My other memory of that trip was a young Swindon fan being so preoccupied with making gestures at the away fans coach as he walked along that he didn't notice the lamppost.

Never known us to take more than that to the North West tbh, if it was the last day of the season with a win needing promotion we'd sell out our allocation for sure but not around this time. Also train prices with Avanti are shocking right now. Costing my mate £97 to get there on the train tomorrow, only reason he's going is because he's never been to Stockport before. Costing me £64 with a railcard. Last week I got to Harrogate for around £25 with a railcard with LNER. Avanti are filth.

Our tickets for the game were sold to us on A4 Pieces of paper with a barcode, thats what was sent to us I guess.

I actually saw Stockport away at FCUM in an FA Cup qualifying replay back in 2017, FCUM won 1-0 with only 9 men. Was in the area so took the game in, couldn't believe how far you guys had fallen that night.

As you accept my original assertion about the fairest way to end the season, I'll reverse the question. If your team had been the collateral damage in the method which Parry put forward to conclude the season instead, then is it likely that Rochdale fans would be just as upset about the outcome as Rovers fans are?

Hmm.... Okay. Putting aside grudges, this is our first visit to Tranmere in a while. We've picked up a bit of form recently and I'm still floating on air after our home win against L'Orient. I'd happily take a point.

6 of us had a pre match ritual where we’d meet up at a bookies a couple from miles from the ground, have a few bets then stroll across the road to the pub for a couple of Stella’s. It was the route into town that away fans would take too. Anyway, inside there was a group of 4 Stockport fans having a drink and we got chatting. After a couple we always used to go to the British Rail social club which is close enough to the ground to walk and easy to park - now, sadly, gone and replaced by a raft of new housing. The place itself was just a load of wooden buildings in the middle of a huge sports field with loads of pitches etc and there was nothing else around. We suggested to our new found buddies if they fancied following us to said social club with the promise of cheap beer. When we got there they were a bit apprehensive as they thought we’d lured them somewhere out of the way to ambush them or something daft. Anyway, we all had a good couple of hours hooting and roaring in the bar and were all pretty tanked when we left to go to the game. We arranged to meet up after the game in a pub in Old Town. We all met up and we’re having a very slow sup when a group of our knuckledraggers twigged that we were chatting to Stockport fans and thought we all were and started an almighty punch up. The only time I’ve ended up fighting my own fans.

No fans were hurt (much) in the telling of this story!

Avanti are a national scandal mate. How they've not had their contract rescinded is beyond me.

Re: the tickets- I know the A4 sheet you're referring to. It's just a PDF they've obviously just printed off like a 1000 copies and sent them Orient- tinpot. I don't see why away teams can't use the same online system us home fans use and them just offer the link to our ticketing site and offer them your areas if you say you're an away fan. You'd still get the same PDF you have now but it's on your phone to get scanned instead of a tatty A4 that could get pissed on.

Ah fucking hell that FCUM game. Not even our worst game in the non league era. You can see why I have a chuckle to myself when fans whinge when we're not quite on it in a game as we sit comfortable mid League Two.

I trust you've been up here before even if it may have been a while ago. Still loads of pubs to go at in and around Edgeley. Most are away friendly and just have a subjective "no dickheads" policy. So you'll be alright. Don't know about E10rifle (I joke).

All the best lads. But not for today. Hoping for a good game.

Alas, it’s my daughter’s birthday party. Having it at a soft play so I’ll be looking after 11 screaming children chucking themselves to the floor. Which is what you’ll have to put up with if we go one up.

My prediction for today is Barrow 1-1 Hartlepool (Mikael Ndjoli's arse 90+4).

Never confident against the basketcase teams so a draw seems most likely. Euan Murray to score with his arse in injury time.

Hartlepool sound like they've got some players with very skillful arses.

Critchlow missing for us is a blow and means one of Songo'o or Platt will be playing on the wrong side. Would also have started Wright over Eisa but maybe he isn't ready to start just yet.
