Morning guys,
I an Orient fan, I am going to preview this weekends game.
Leyton orient's home form has been poor so far this season, in fact the end of last season was quite poor as well. We lost our opening game of the season and all though we have yet to lose yet in all competitions, we have drawn are of our next league home games. . We have won our 1st round game of the lower league cup and into round 3 of the league cup but they are away as well. We were supposed to be at home last Saturday but due to Preston international call ups our game was postponed.
So we have had over 10 days since our last game, lets hope that time has helped sort our formation and how we play against teams who turn up to try to play 10 men behind the ball and try to hit us on the break or play for a draw.
We have a few key man injuries already in this early part of the season, usually I would worry as an Orient fan, but due to us been taken over in the summer, we now have a squad that can deal with injuries. Lisbie injured, which is a shame as he is a former Colchester player and would of liked to score against them, but we have 4 other strikers plus a young forward who can come in. Batt has been injured since start of the season, he is a winger/ striker but isn't really missed at the moment and I'm unsure he would get a game even if he was fit. Cox is our biggest injury worry, he has been our best player the season and may be out for 2 weeks, the rumours are that we are signing a winger on loan from QPR to cover his position. We also have central midfielder James out who is also a Colchester ex player, so he will be annoyed to miss this fixture. We have plenty of cover in that area, we have Vincelot who will start and probably have Pritchard to start alongside, we also have Bartley and Harry Lee in the wings waiting as well.
I think our team for this weekend will be:
Legzdins (gk); Cuthbert (rb), Clarke (cb) (captain), Omozusi (lb); McAnuff (rw), Vincelot (cm), Pritchard (cm), Loan QPR player (lw); Henderson (str), Mooney (str). Though I would rather play Dagnall then mooney but I am not the manager.
I think the score will be a scrappy 1-0 win to the leyton orient but hope we will play like we did at the start of last season and win easily 3-0.
