We're still a work in progress. Paul McCallum should start again and hopefully Mathieu Baudrys ankle injury isn't serious. I'd imagine we'd be unchanged for the 3rd game running.

Not sure what to expect from Stevenage, seeing as they're going through a big transitional period themselves.

Although I did notice Ben Kennedy didn't play on Saturday and they have two decent players in Dean Parrett and Charlie Lee in the middle.

Two managers who shared an office last season at West Ham!

Ben Kennedy's injured at the moment, probably won't be back until November time. Parrett and Lee are our best players, although Lee hasn't turned up so far this season, doesn't look particularly interested, I'd like to see Conlon given a start instead of him, at least until he's back on form.

I'd be shocked if we get anything from this one, sounded fortunate to get something from the Newport game and I think Orient will have too much for us. From what I've seen so far this season we've lacked width and we've been exposed down the flanks, really wouldn't be surprised to see Cox have a field day in this one.

Will go for a 2-0 Orient win.

Part Three of our incredibly easy start to the season. Got to be another three points if we're serious about promotion; should have 12 by the end of the week. Don't think we play a serious top 3 contender until October, so we need to be making hay now.

Think Sheringham is going to turn out an absolutely dire appointment for Stevenage, but at least he's not an utter see you next Tuesday like Westley.

It's inevitable we're going to drop points at some stage, I reckon one of Stevenage or Newport will do a smash and grab job. The other one I reckon we'll smash.

Either 6-0 Orient, or 1-0 Stevenage.

Unless Orient have one of those days its difficult to see us getting anything out of this game.

Depending on Baudrys injury which will mean replacing him, we will be unchanged for the 3rd game in a row:

Cisask
Clohessy Baudry Essam Shaw
James
Pritchard Moore
Cox
McCallum Simpson

Subs:
Grainger
Dunne
Ling
Moncur
Turgott
Palmer
Kashket
We will have to lose at some point and have some bad luck.

We will lose.

Incredibly easy? Based on seeing us exactly how many times this season...?

I still think we'll lose mind, just seems like an odd thing to say this early on! I'll go for 2-0 Orient.

Will you line as narrow as the formation suggests or is it the formatting on the site? We stand more of a chance if you do, probably still lose but gives us a glimmer of hope.

We have switched between using the diamond as above and a 4-4-2 with Blair Turgott used as the right winger in place of Sammy Moore as and when needed. Also used 4-5-1 to try and see games out.

I'd say one of our weaknesses is we will get found out in the wide areas as we do play narrow. Plus our young left back Fraser Shaw is still very raw.

Our main strength so far has been our midfield IMO, Pitchard, James and Moore have very good engines on them.

I disagree, I think Orient can finish the season unbeaten. They obviously don't deserve to be down here with us minnows, they're way too good
I'll just be happy not to go down again.

I think you'll be fine this season, midtable at least. You have a reasonably strong side for League 2, and have started strongly.

Bit of a silly statement I reckon.

You think? Doubt any of our first four opponents (yourselves, Dagenham, Stevenage and Newport) will be troubling the top half come May, let alone the top seven. Then our fifth game is at home to Rovers who have been our bunnies at Brisbane Road for years and aren't any great shakes either IMHO.

In the grand scheme of things, it's not a tough start for a team with automatic promotion ambitions. Sorry if that offends you or makes me sound all Bertie Big Time. We absolutely deserve to be in League Two after last season's shambles on and off the pitch and we've got a long, difficult season ahead of us if we're to realise our ambitions. But you're not seriously going to turn round and say our opening five fixtures are toughies, are you?

Of course it's not tough for you, you're meant to be up there by the end of the season - but surely it is unfair to suggest it was an easy game in the end... It wasn't an easy game for you, in fact I'd suggest you only really turned up for the last 30 minutes. If you do have automatic promotion ambitions, you'll have to turn up for the full 90 minutes against better teams.

It's an easy start on paper, but nothing ever works on paper. In reality, it was actually a pretty difficult opening game.

It was a tough-ish first half. Barnet played with plenty of energy but, that one glaring Gash miss aside, we weren't exactly clearing it off the line every two minutes. And then you didn't have a shot in the second half.

Look, there are almost always going to be tough periods for any team in any game (we were second best for the opening ten minutes at Dagenham, for example). I'm not sitting here thinking Orient are so good we're going to win every game, or even the division. Actually, I think the squad is too thin to attain automatic promotion, and we'll probably end up in the fucking playoffs. I'm not even saying that Orient are going to be on 15 points come September 1st (though I'd be disappointed with less than 11).

All my original statement meant was that the fixture computer hasn't given us any of Luton, Portsmouth, Plymouth, Oxford or County in our first five games, nor has it sent us on epic trips oop narth to Accrington, Morecambe or Binghamland, nor have we even got any of the decent playoff shouts like the Wombles, Exeter, Northampton, Cambridge or Wycombe.

I think you're just a little put out that, in my opinion, Barnet lack the attacking quality to be considered as anything other than lower mid-table makeweights, and it's clouding your judgement on the fact that the fixture list has actually been kind to Orient this month.

3-0 flattered us a little in the end, a very very open game with chances for both sides, the difference for us in the end was IMO we had the extra quality in the players we had in Cox and Simpson to take our chances at the end when we switched to 4-4-2.

Even though we had one off the line in the first half, Cisak made two excellent saves for us.

From out perspective, I thought our second goal was absolute peach of a move and finish.

Not sure what Dean Wells was doing for the 3rd goal, but it was a shocking school boy error which let Palmer score.

Stevenage put ALOT into 75mins, but I thought they looked jaded at the end and kept giving the ball away to us which ultimately led us to eventually scoring. Their left side gave Clohessy a very generous amount of room all game and to be honest I thought at times Stevenage were lucky he didn't make the msot of that space more often.

Teddy is going to need time, Dipo Akinyemi was raw but had potential. Williams caused us a few headaches but wasn't clinical enough infront of goal.

I thought we deserved the win in the end - Just, but only because we took our chances. 3-0 wasn't a true reflection of the game.

Decent side, Stevenage. Great effort and made things very difficult until the first goal. Further proof that Orient can be roughed up and aren't that great in the air, but equally that we have a cutting edge whereas others have blunt instruments (hello big John Akinde).

Very even game until we went one up, but as soon as that happened it was goodnight Vienna. Second goal was a sublime move. Thought Moore had his best game so far, and Palmer was very lively in his cameo.

Finally, Stevenage fans were excellent as always.

I also thought the ref was poor - He was partly at fault for us scoring the first goal although it wasn't totally his fault. He gave some really poor free kicks either way, missed a few either way. The linesman also failed to let McCallums header stand in the first half (TV evidence has proved it was over the line).

But he got all the yellow cards right though.......

Thought we just shaded up until the 74th minute, but then our legs seemed to go and our heads dropped a little... Brilliant assist by the referee for the first goal it has to be said!

If Orient keep Dean Cox I have no doubts they'll go up automatically this season, just seemed a class above everyone else, their RB and central midfield pairing also looked like a very solid spine.

I'm not panicking just yet, every game has seen improvements and we definitely need time to implement Teddy's ideas fully, but we need to start picking up points soon against teams like Dagenham on the 29th otherwise things could start to look a lot more nervy.

Thought we held our own, shame we collapsed at the end but can hopefully learn from it. Hartleppol on Saturday, bit of a tough start but I think we have certainly looked a bit more positive than the opening game and just need to get that first win under our belts. Good game, good atmosphere, O's fans in good voice, even the ref didn't manage to spoil it although he had a good try. Even by L2 standards that bloke had a total mare, he was equally shite for both sides so not like we can blame him but FFS have these idiots ever watched a game of football before. :ffs:

Aye, some utterly dreadful officiating. Not sure whether my favourite was them disallowing McCallum's goal in the first half which was about two feet over the line, or when Pritchard blatantly tripped one of your players off the ball while you were counter-attacking with the ref looking right at it. See also: how far offside your forward is in the first of the highlights:-

Our second goal is a thing of absolute beauty. :bravo: The media would be fawning all over it if United, Real Madrid or Barceluton had scored it.

Good game, though. Stevenage will be fine this season; certainly had more about them than Barnet or Dagenham.

That goal wouldn't have been scored any higher than this division. Opposition would have had beer positional sense

Considering the move started as a counter-attack from a Stevenage corner you are, respectfully, talking bollocks.
