Despite our current form, I would think that not many would be expecting us to get something from this.
We have proved ourselves against the more difficult opponents, less Pompey (which could have gone either way), but with Leyton's upturn in results since Kevin Nolans arrival may be enough. I'll be happy with a point.

I'd take a point as well. But I think we seem to be set up better with our pressing game away from home, so if Orient come at us we could pick them off a la Luton/Plymouth etc. We've got such a strong squad at the minute so we really shouldn't fear anyone and I highly doubt Wilder will go there for a point, which considering how many good forward players we have is the right thing to do.

Gonna go for an entertaining 2-1 Cobblers win. Looking forward to it.

Whilst Orient have no doubt improved under Nolan we have won 11 out of 12 in the league and not failed to score in a league game since August so no reason we cant win this.

Expecting goals in this one, going for a 3-2 thriller with a Rod Mcdonald 85th minute winner.

Can't be scared about this one. We played Northampton off the park earlier in the season and they're going to have to slip up at some stage. Really pleased with how quickly Nolan has outed all the weak links in the side (Essam, Palmer and Clohessy) and started setting the team up properly. Makes you wonder how well we could be doing if we'd've had someone other than Incompetent Ian in charge for all that time.

Got to go for it anyway; we've simply got to keep winning if we want to stave off all the little clubs with games in hand and maintain our playoff place. Going to be a good game. 2-2.

I fancy Baudry and Brisley to do a good job against Richards and Collins - it's Holmes v Shaw, Martin v Hunt and O'Toole v everyone that I worry about.

Fancy us to score though, wasn't overly impressed with Northampton defensively when I saw them most recently.

1-2; Simpson for us, Holmes and O'Toole for them, the later from a corner.

How has Brisley done for you guys, was really impressed with him earlier in the season when he was on loan.

I think Richards and Collins are a handful for anyone but agree that o toole and Holmes are our key men. O toole dictates the pace of the game so well and Holmes just cannot seem to be stopped this season.

To be fair we did get bossed in the home game with adam smith making some Worldy saves, but were a different team now.

Brisley has only played the one game so far, but he was part of a vastly-improved defensive display on Saturday. He only has to be bog-average to be an upgrade on Essam.

We are a better side all over the pitch than back then as well, with the exception of losing Dean Cox to injury. Nolan has outed the weak links and worked out that playing a central midfielder that can tackle is a good idea. Revolutionary. Shame that Coxy's out for the season, or we would undeniably have the best front four in the division. Probably still do, but it's a little more contentious without him.

We was excellent on Saturday, if we play like that for the remaining 16 games we will have a chance of the playoffs.

Not sure how Nolan will play this one, we went 4-5-1 Saturday but created a fair amount of chances with Nolan supporting Simpson. Nigel Atangana is avaliable again so not sure if we will go 4-4-2 or 4-5-1 again............

Still early days for Nolan, he has a bit of a free hit, considering we're not expected to do too much now.

Northampton are well drilled with Richards, O'Toole and Holmes on form.

Happy for Orient to only worry about Richards, O'Toole and Holmes :)

Shall be in attendance of this one. Really looking forward to seeing Brisley and an almost fit Nolan in action. Should be a cracker and on paper looks like the most exciting match in the League this weekend.

This will be an interesting test for Nolan and the team, to see how far we have come. Northamptons form is superb, the sort of thing that only happens in Football manager!

We've played well away from home, but haven't been the same at home, we narrowly scrapped a 1-0 against Newport with a controversial penalty and against Cambridge our heads dropped when we fell behind and made 3 clear individual errors for the goals we let in.

We'll get another 6000-6500 crowd as well, our crowds have held up very well this season, the fans have stuck by the team in good numbers home and away.

Not sure if Nolan will play the 4-5-1 which worked well last week and start himself again, or go 4-4-2 and bring Atangana back into the midfield.

We will lose.

Absolutely buzzing for this one. Reckon we will see a bit of rotation as we've got 6 games in 21 days, and 6 very tough games at that. Could perhaps see Rose and Adams start? Adams being the top assister in League 2 and not able to get in the team!

The comments about Orients' ropey home form fill me with a bit of confidence too.
Would take a point, but like I say think we'll nick it 2-1. Feels weird to think we will win every week!

I would play:

Simpson
McAnuff - Nolan - Jahraldo-Martin
Atangana - Payne
Shaw - Brisley - Baudry - Hunt
Cisak

Think it's kind of important to get Atangana in, physical and has some defensive focus which I think will be important when matched up against O'Toole who for me is the best midfielder in the division - save possibly Nolan if he hits form. I worry how a defensive midfield duo of Moore and Payne would hold out.

O'Toole was an enigma, he is now playing like the player we thought we had bought originally..

Average, average game. Northampton have been time wasting since the first minute. Top of the league and they're just hoofing into the channels, hoping for a mistake. There are literally no good teams in this league. None.

I was about to say is it not a bit premature to judge a team based on 45 minutes? We're all in league 2 for a reason, consistency is what separates us from the leagues above.
