Sounds like we’ve had all the chances but missed em going off Twitter, still time to turn this around.

Ludvig Öhman elbowed twice in that half resulting in 2 yellow cards, ridiculous

You do seem to say it quite a lot about us though Adam and not particularly about all the other mid table sides.

The last thing I quoted on Grimsby was hoping that someone’s lad (not sure who) had a good game at Crystal Palace as had managed to get a ticket and then how I felt sorry for your player who got the red on VAR.

Anyway go get something at Lincoln and prove me wrong!

I mean about saying things like certain teams should be beating ‘teams like Grimsby’ but not about other mid table sides.

Yellow card count up to 6 now, it’s only a matter of time isn’t it?

Sorry you feel that way, I said it about Crawley on Tuesday if that counts!

Wouldn't worry about what Adam says he didn't win least knowledgeable forum poster multiple times on TFF for nothing.

Anyhow McKeown sent off for straight red, game over. Didn't expect to get anything from the game so we move on, and this month has shown why the talk of play offs last month was very premature.

Expected a red but didn’t think it’d be McKeown!

Haven’t seen McKeowns red but don’t think it really made any difference to the outcome as it seemed like we created next to nothing in the second half with 11 anyway,

Deserved tbf. Was it a dirty game or just a case of Dean trying to get some of the limelight?
Link doesn’t work on my phone, is it McKeown’s red?

Edit: links working now, looks to me like he got the ball first but as I said I don’t think we’d have got back into it anyway, bit shit though that he gives that as a red but for 2 elbows (so I read) by Lincoln players they only get 2 yellows.

He's studs up, out of control, his right foot goes up and under the Lincoln player and follows him. Sorry, if that was an outfield player it would be a red. A 'keeper should be no different.

And he doesn't get the ball first. He misjudged it.

Missed the first and last 10 minutes but I thought it was an even game. No real quality in either box. A lot of bookings that shouldn't have been given that were, as well as a lot of bookings that weren't given when they should. Truly crap refereeing.

Missed Clifton today and we clearly need work on 352, but we showed some really nice glimpses of good 1-2 football and getting a man to break completely free out wide, just a big lack of end product which has obviously plagued us all season. Ohman played really well. Despite the result it was an encouraging display for me.

Thought our defenders did a great job today, especially Öhman after he was assaulted twice. Terrible officiating to only book the Lincoln players in both instances.

Anyway other than that we were rubbish. Jolley gave far too much respect to Lincoln by setting up ultra defensive and keeping Mitch Rose in the team after his terrible showing against Macclesfield. Presumably he was hoping to keep it tight before switching to a more attacking formation later in the match but that went tits up after McKeown was beaten by a savable shot at his near post. After that we got to witness 75 minutes of aimless lumps up to the always mediocre Cardwell, who was never going to beat Lincoln's centre halves in the air.

I've no complaints about the sending off. Was poor yet again from McKeown who wasn't at the races today. He cost us the chance to get back into the game as we'd only just brought Vernam on who the game had been crying out for when he hacked down Rowe.

Lincoln still a bunch of classless thugs with plastic supporters, and Akinde still a shithouse who falls over in the slightest breeze, but deserved their win today.

Bit of a crap Derby really, not really a great game, not many decent chances and not a great atmosphere but most important thing is the three points.

Thought Grimsby did okay. They defended well and played the ball around a well quite a bit. They just didn't really create much apart from the chance in the first half, which should have gone in. Having said that we weren't much better and it took a class strike from Toffolo to win the game. Though we didn't play at our best we didn't really need to. Would like to see the replay for why that second got disallowed.

As for the red card, I couldn't tell if he got the ball or not but as soon as the linesmen flagged it had to be a red because it was reckless. Shocking communication leading upto the incident. Thought Grimsby were lucky not to get another sent off for a blatant pull down on Akinde on the edge of the area.

Let's not go around saying we could've had another sent off when we had two blatant elbows in the face and a very good penalty shout waved away. I'm not blaming the referee for our loss today as we didn't do enough but Lincoln were absolutely the beneficiaries of the officials today.

Typical Derby game- lots of huff and puff and not a huge amount of quality on offer from either team.

Typical Derby result- scrappy 1-0

Town have some half decent players but need someone to pull the strings- they also need a decent forward who can make a nuisance of himself in this league.

IMO Ohman is an immense signing long term- quality well above EFL2. Will do well to keep him once he gets noticed.

As for sending offs/bookings etc- the cards which weren't shown to both teams even themselves out. O'Connor may have been lucky with his challenge but Town CB was lucky to not get a 2nd yellow for hauling Akinde down on the edge of the box with no-one else around to stop the attempt on goal.

2nd challenge on Ohman looked more like the ball smacked him on the nose as Akinde ducked but wasn't close enough to anything in the first half to have a good view.

3 points and onto Tuesday

Time for the biggest derby in the division. Lincoln still wanted on a major charge of daylight robbery after getting away an illegally obtained point back at Blundell Park in August. Hopefully justice will be served here.

No Andrade and Shackell for them, which is a positive for us.

No idea who will be available for us, I'm losing track of it. One thing that was clear yesterday was just how important Clifton is for us now as we just didn't seem to hassle Macc anywhere near enough without him. Clifton and Hess really do free Embleton up quite well but take either of them out and it seems to fall apart a bit.

Any plans for any banners this year, Imps?

Oh, you little traitor

It was subdued for a derby. Thought we managed the game well, other than a fumbled corner Grant Smith didn't have anything to do. Good finish by Toffolo, Akinde really should have done better with his two decent chances, he put in a good shift against 3 big centre backs.

I was expecting more from Mike Dean he was far too whistle happy and fell for some very cheap free kicks particularly from Mitch Rose and the left back Ring who was just ridiculous. I didn't see O'Connors challenge but the Akinde one was harsh. Grimsby should have been down to 9 following Akinde been hauled down towards the end.

Well managed victory.

On to Tuesday at Yeovil.
