We'll play maybe our strongest side to keep them fresh for next Wednesday, and Chelsea without Terry and practically on holiday won't be arsed about keeping up with Liverpool.

2 - 0 to Liverpool.

Mignolet; Clyne, Touré, Lovren, Moreno; Milner, Can; Lallana, Firmino, Coutinho; Sturridge.

Bar injuries/suspension that's our stronges lineup and probably the one which we'll put out in Basel a week from now. Really should be winning this.

From what I saw which wasn't much, it all looked a bit flat throughout and they had next week on their mind. Don't think they did themselves any favours with the performance though as to who'll start then.

We could've won that if we bothered showing the intensity we have done in the Europa but there wasn't much point in risking injury or fitness. Chelsea were alright and Hazard was the best player on the pitch by a distance. Roll on next Wednesday.

Lol I switched it off after 89 mins and thought it finished 1 - 0 to Chelsea, I didn't see that big balls Benteke got an equaliser! :emb:

Hazard seems to be finally rising from the ashes. Really didn't see Chelsea in a very strong performance though but they could've hold the win if Begovic didn't give an assistance to Liverpool's goal.

I said it on another site earlier tonight, Benteke has got a lot of points overall in the league for Liverpool when they are up against it in a match - I count at least 7 - and he has been fine since coming back into these cameo roles. I honestly would like to see him kept for next year, but also realise that his time may have come and gone.

You need to get some money back on him so I doubt he'll stay. Another season like this and he'll have no market value at all compared to what you've paid.

It was obvious that our players were just trying to avoid injury. Hazard was the best player on the park (I wonder why he's suddenly started playing with a transfer window & international tournament upcoming), but no one *really* tried to stop him. Basel is all that matters.
