How typical fucking Liverpool, the match we were least likely to win in the last 3-4 games, and it's the one we do win. Anyway, we were the better team throughout and it was a thoroughly deserved 3 points. 24 shots as opposed to 6 from them, although only one shot difference in our favour when it comes to getting them on target, shows how bad we are hitting the net.

Anyway, would be a shame if we were the team that started a bad run off for Leicester, but they were never going to go through the entire season without it happening. Got some difficult games coming up too. They didn't convince at all today.

Pheww, got the result! Only saw the second half but they were much better than against Watford anyway and created a number of chances. How Benteke didn't score at the end though I don't think anyone will know.

A much needed result that.

Fully deserved 3 points. No outstanding performances but Leicester were awful. Hopefully this will give us the confidence to kick on now and you'd have to fancy our chances at Sunderland. Good result and a fair result I think.

We weren't great by any means, but Leicester's luck finally ran out, they've been second-best in a few games they've won / drawn.

Crucial to get the three points after a really bad run, but the performance doesn't exactly fill me with confidence. Our squad is filled with rather good but indecisive players.

And Emre Can who just never passes the ball, he got on my tits today with running into good positions with options all around him and then deciding to blast it high at every opportunity!

Emre can be frustrating, but he's still young, I don't mind it that he's pushing the limits of what he can do rather than making the right decision a moment earlier. He's got time to learn that. The more he pushes his limits now, the better player - in theory - he will become when he calms down a bit.

and people still thinking it's a miracle/fluke, done with this site fans are too anti-liverpool
Too anti-Liverpool? What, we get a 1-0 home win against Leicester after earning one point from Newcastle, West Brom and Watford and we should be over the moon? We're not playing great, I feel the fans here are mostly saying it how it is. A much-relieving win, but there's a lot of improvement to be done.

This had 0-0 written all over it but thankfully Benteke scored. It's a good thing that he did as well; that miss of the open goal is inexcusable. Somehow couldn't see Liverpool scoring a second.
Looking forward to Leicester's game vs City on Monday.

There is a heck of a player in there, he looked so assured when he arrived and I think he is barely scratching the surface of the player he could become, and playing more advanced he'll learn it over the next few years; its just at the moment he is a bit rash at time in his decisions.

Yeah, I agree. It's like with Ibe, the skill is there, but the decision-making needs more experience. Hopefully they both will learn and fulfill the potential that's on show.

Ref was a bit of a homer though eh?
Okazaki pulled down for a penalty, not given, ok but Shinji then pulls a Liverpool player down in our half, free kick to Liverpool. Hmmm.
We didn't really get into our stride in this match. It was nice to see both Schmeicel go up at the end and even better to see Morgan get back to stop Benteke scoring what should have been a definite goal.
I think our big mistake here was having 35% possession. That's at least 2% too much to play our A game!

No you're right Smat, the officials were definitely trying their best to please the home crowd.

Still not that convinced on Ibe tbh; he has pace and a bit of trickery, but I don't think he is anything special, though I hope he could prove me wrong and start putting in some great shows.

Jeez that was tense but shows what a mad season this is. On paper and form, how did Leicester not score 3 today? But yeah it's typical of us, we win the matches we're not the favourites for.

It did look as if we went to 4-4-2 and matched Leicester up. There were a few moments our defence got up to their old tricks but overall we got the result against the league leaders! Great to see Jordan play well today although he ballsed up when he was through but after missing loads of games, he looks fully fit now.

Would not surprise me if we get battered at Sunderland next.
