So, onto this shit. Any faint nebulous hopes of a league title in a generation have eroded with this result. And tbh even if the record against the rest of the top six is the best, if you can't beat Sunderland and Swansea then you don't deserve to win it anyway.

Whats worrying is the lack of activity in this window when players are needing brought in. Klopp has said he won't bring in players unless they can add something to this side and push Liverpool on, and thats a laudable attitude and difficult to do in January; however, the side looks fatigued and a bit jaded, and someone decent coming in would freshen it up a bit imo.

Despite the defeat, Liverpool got lucky today as it could've been so much worse with City, Spurs and Man Utd drawing, and even if Arsenal win tomorrow, we'll still be right in the mix for the top four. However with the way the side is playing just now, even that aim is now looking treacherous.
