Shit half.

We started well but looked way too tired in the final 15 minutes. We really need to find a proper central midfielder in January or the summer as the ones we have are all workhorses but offer nothing going forward.

Benteke and Firmino need to improve in the second half. Really thought the latter would pick it up after the City game but he looked more like his old self today; slow to react, lazy and not particularly imaginative. We need more from him.

Despite not doing much with the chances they are beginning to create, its much better watching Liverpool these last couple of months and the creativity is coming along. Not there yet, but they are far far easier on the eye than Manoo.

We seem to have a mental block at home under Klopp at the moment. I'm amazed we can put in the performance we did away against City then produce this shit at Anfield. Need big improvements in the second half.

Do you think it's a mental thing, or rather that you lack the quality to break down sides who play a bit more defensively.

I think it's the latter personally. There's not enough creativity in the team at the moment especially with Coutinho out.

Also, i'm not a matchgoing fan but you could tell that the crowd is so edgy which can't make it easier for the players. Has been like that since the start of last season.

It's very rare to see a penalty given for those.

Slice of luck to take Liverpool ahead.

Maybe, maybe not, some will give it, some won't. Deadlock broken anyway.

Don't disagree with that, but its one of those subjective ones.

It's certainly handball, his hands are certainly in an unnatural position as they say, it's just the proximity that usually puts the refs off on those ones.

The rules leave too much room for interpretation I suppose.

Good week of results that. Not the best performance today at all but they deserved the win just about.

Also great result as most of the top teams drew this weekend except City, and Liverpool are upto sixth. Onwards and upwards!

Shit performance, no penetration at all. Either need Sturridge back, fit and confident, or Klopp needs to buy in the summer. Still not sure about Benteke fitting in. We were fortunate with the penalty but by the letter of the law it wasn't a ridiculous decision, I just don't believe most referees would have given it.

Great weekend in terms of results though, made up points on all the rivals for that 4th spot, in particularly Spurs who are the main threat.

Benteke did fine and is scoring, it just wasn't his day, particularly that chance when he couldn't sort his feet out. Better rely on him for the goals anyway as Sturridge is just going to be a squad player at this rate.

Just seen the pen, second game in a row a complete joke, what a shock to see favours from refs ;)

I'm referring to the long term plan. I'm as unsure as to his suitability with Klopp's style as Carroll was with Rodgers.

Lewandowski isn't the quickest and he did ok in Klopp's style. Ever since Liverpool signed Benteke I thought he'd do well there and he has scored since coming in. Moving forward I think Klopp will switch between styles, maybe playing a three upfron away like he he been and having Benteke/Sturridge upfront at other times, we'll see. He may bag another striker in January though I reckon, since Origi just isn't there, Ings is out long-term and Sturridge cannot be relied upon at all. I'm more confident about Liverpool getting results now no matter how they play and the signs are they could have a good season. It won't be plain sailing - it never is with Liverpool - but I think the squad is good enough to compete this year and have said it all along, they just didn't have the belief in the previous regime in the end.

It's a shame Ings is out for so long. Think he'd be very good under Klopp. Hope he gets back soon.
