Disappointed we're not starting Ings, though hopefully he'll get a good half hour or more if it goes to extra time. Sturridge is needing goals so thats probably why he's included to try and get him up and running; and Origi is needing match fitness as well, so it makes sense having these two upfront. Great seeing Ejaria, Grujic, Stewart and Alexander-Arnold getting starts; they are hitting the fringes of the first team for sure.

In my opinion that lineup is ridiculous. We need a title badly and this is our best shot, as it is every season. We're out of Europe and change half our starters for regulars and this would be a slam dunk, without risking too much in terms of fatigue and injuries.

But oh well. Exciting to see some of these players at least, Grujic looked fantastic in pre-season.

He did seem to be slow to react, pity he wasn't like that in the league game where he was exceptional.

Yeah Spurs only created one real chance outside diving for the penalty, whilst Liverpool had plenty other good chances to finish the game off earlier. Enjoyed that, and thought Alexander-Arnold was the pick of the youth players.

Also though Wijnaldum had his best game as well, he and Stewart were excellent.

Yep Wijnaldum was very good I thought too. He lasted 90 minutes too which is good to see as you'd assume he'll just slot in where Henderson plays against Palace as Henderson is banned. Fancy picking up 5 yellows in 9 games the dirty bastard.
