Match chat.

Should be alright in this one, surely? We're not playing a team whose name begins with the letter b!

I am pretty confident we will win this one. Depending on the manner of defeat, Bilic could get sacked after the game.

Which would be unfair on him tbh.

Well i predicted Liverpool would lose 2 of the last 3 as you well know and was nearly spot on again.

Think they will struggle here but sneak a win with a dodgy penalty or some form of cheating.

cmon you HAMMERS !

Great game to get back to winning ways after an abortion of a match against Bournemouth.

West Ham with 3 wins all season, we should walk this.

3-1

Is Matip fit? If not, I think the Andy Carroll goal is as inevitable as 2017 global inflation.

Still, this should be a win for Liverpool. I'd bet the over on 4 total goals.

I heard Matip is available, not sure if that means a definite start. Hopefully.

I'd be more than surprised if we collected any points from this fixture, it took 52 years (1963) to record our next win at Anfield in 2015.

I'd never been more depressed over a Liverpool loss than in that performance last season (and there have been plenty over the years!), and you beat us three times in the four meetings last year, so hopefully we can hammer you guys for a bit of payback (though I've been hearing the story of your season falling apart over on West Ham Fan TV, and it sounds horrible there just now with all the issues you lot have).

Carroll to score, even if Matip is back, but I think we'll win three or four to one (tried writing that numerically but it looks like a calculation!).

With todays games results, West Ham now find themselves bottom three in the table. They should be looking for a result, but i just don't see it happening.
3-1 Liverpool.

We don't speak of this.

I'm not very confident anyway, none of the front four from our early season form can be adequately replaced and although Lallana is back, Coutinho is a huge loss. Origi is a neat and tidy striker but he goes missing and isn't very creative to say the least. I'd take a dodgy 1-0.

Origi isn't hitting the form of late last season yet still has 3 in the last 3. He can lead the line better than Sturridge imo, but the issue isn't goals, it's what the defense will do. If Matip is back I'll be confident of the three points even against Carroll; if not then points could be dropped.

I'm going for a 3-1. It'll be closer than the scoreline suggests though and I think this is a potential banana skin for us. Firmino has gone off the boil a bit and I hope Matip starts. I assume Sturridge is still injured as he was at the boxing until the early hours in Manchester last night.

Creativity will be missing without Coutinho and I think despite dominant possession we will at times fail to make it count.

Liverpool: Karius, Clyne, Lovren, Matip, Milner, Henderson, Wijnaldum, Lallana, Mane, Firmino, Origi.

Subs: Mignolet, Moreno, Lucas, Klavan, Alexander-Arnold, Ejaria, Woodburn.

Not sure where Emre Can is but we're one injury away from relying on kids to produce going forward. Can see a bit of a tough period coming up for us.

1 injury means Sturridge in your 11. So not really. Or is he crocked again?

Aye, he's injured, which is why both the attacking options on our bench are teens. Ben Woodburn is just 17 as well.

Spent the first ten minutes keeping an eye on Henderson, he's improved a hell of a lot, constantly giving instructions and being in the right areas. I can see a lot more Gerrard in him now, he may not be as good but their styles are very similar now.

And that is why we need a new keeper if we want to fulfill our ambitions. Shouldn't have gone in. Simply put, neither Karius or Mignolet are good enough for a team with top 4 ambitions, never mind title challenging.
