Both teams lost their game in Europe. City will definitely have the advantage in terms of resting their players since they played on Tuesday while Liverpool played on Thursday + Extra time and pens. Aguero, Silva, Toure will definitely be City's best hope, for us hopefully the rested players can produce an energetic performance.
My Prediction: 2-1 (Liverpool Win)

Macclesfield Town/Manchester City. It's complicated.
Big game this one, especially with Chelsea not playing and facing a tough trip to West Ham. If City can win it then they close the gap to two points and could even go top on the 4th of Chelsea fail to win and City beat Leicester.

First time there's been any real pressure on Jose's side this season.

It's pretty obvious mate...

...City are irrelevant to our fight for CL places this season whereas Liverpool could feasibly could us trouble in that department.

Liverpool will be up for this, but knackered after their midweek exploits and City will want to keep the pressure on Chelsea and will look to respond to their disappointing CL performance against Barca with a good win. Unfortunately I think this game comes at a bad time for Liverpool and I think City will edge it.

Liverpool 1 - 2 City

Huge opportunity for us to go 5th with Southampton losing.

We'll lose 2-1.

I'm not sure Pellegrini is a big game manager. Can see Liverpool getting at least a point today.

I have a really bad feeling about this. Can't see us winning.

City apparently haven't won at Anfield since 2003, so maybe a draw is on the cards. I just have a feeling City will sneak this though.

It's coming to something when Kolarov looks the most steady defender in your back line.
