Our first visit to Barnet since a 3-2 win back September 2005 at Underhill.

We've sold around 1,200 tickets so far. Think we'll manage around 1,500. I just hope this E-Tickets I bought about 2 months ago work......!

Barnet are a hard team to predict, not one I bet on anymore - Their home wins have been one or two coupon busters.

I see Shaun Batt is still injured.

Shaun Batt isn't injured. Allen has realised his mistake, removed him from the matchday squad and transfer listed him.
Your eTicket will be fine.
We're on holiday so not expecting much from us, although Allen does like to play the minnow card and turn over bigger sides if he can so will probably field a full strength side rather than a second string like he did at Morecambe.

Who knows, maybe the London Bees will play

I would like to see something like this as our starting line-up:

Stephens; Pearson, Nelson, Dembele, Johnson; Yiadom, Togwell, Champion, Gambin; Gash, Akinde

This will likely be my last match of the season as I'm not going to make the home matches against Notts County and Yeovil Town and neither Wycombe, nor Crawley are tempting away trips especially as for the first time in 7 years we have an uneventful end of season in League 2!

We'll never see that dream Batt/Lisbie forward partnership!

If Lisbie had managed to get fit, he'd have done well for you. But alas he is now 37 and his career is sadly over.

Batt overall did OK for us, he was more of an impact player and did his bit for us when we reached the play final 2 years ago.

But his technical ability is poor and he is dreadfully unfit. He missed the whole of 2011 through injury and he's never really looked like making it back to full fitness.

We've been absolutely shocking the last 4 games. Since we played well and won 1-0 at Oxford, our efforts have been woeful to watch.

Although last week at York we battered them in the second half and eventually made it 1-1, the last ten minutes against ten men we were shocking

Our captain Mathieu Baudry should return from suspension and hopefully Nolan will partner himself with Lloyd James in the middle of the park, as well as playing Jahraldo-Martin on the wing instead of the out of form Clohessy - who's form has badly dipped since he missed that open goal at Oxford.

Atangana has to be dropped, not because he's been that poor, but because we need to go out and try to win games, he is a spoiler player.

Thought Nolan played better last week alongside Lloyd James myself.

I know Allen likes picking some strange line ups, but playing the women's team is a bit far isn't it!?:dk:

That was a pretty insane 5 minutes there. It could have been 1-1 and instead it's 3-0 to us with Nolan subbed off to ironic cheers by the O's fans.
A really silly penalty to give away but a really good penalty save by surely our soon to be crowned player of the year.

One of the most comfortable second halves we have had. Stupid challenge to give away a pen but after that it was easy.

The game summed up our recent performances, slow starters, mentally weak, unable to get back into games and unable to punish the opposition from the mistakes they make - Thats 5 penalties we've missed in a row now in the last 3 months.

Had the penalty gone in for 1-1 it would've been different, but we missed and then concede straight away and the 3rd goal killed the game completely, absolutely nothing happened after the 3rd goal. Despite being poor for the first half we still forced Stephens into two good saves - from our makeshift right winger.

Mentally we have a problem and a combination of shit Hendon signings, poor team selection from Nolan and no strength in depth is why we find ourselves after a good 1-0 win against Oxford to going 4 games without a win against bottom half of the table sides.

We only have 11 contracted players for next season, it can't end soon enough.

Up to the giddy heights of 14th and only 8 points off seventh. What a shame we started the season so poorly.

Nolan was the worst player on the pitch, spent more time trying to have a chat with the ref than actually getting involved in the game. Biggest difference between the sides was the keepers, Jamie Stephens is looking better by the game, Today he saved three shots that many keepers would not have.

Overall it was good to see our players relaxed, Weston especially seemed to enjoy the game.

Play our best centre half Nolan, you twat! Christ. As far as the bizarre team selections go, not having Baudry playing is up there. Will watch this one back on Monday, sounds a horror show though. Barnet was always a tough place to go but losing 3-0, come on. Think that's our play off efforts done with. Only a few points off but given the amount of teams around us it'll be a gigantian effort to qualify. Also, we're not good enough given our performances and I'd feel embarrassed if we made it. Need a massive restructure in the summer... Again.

Just seen the highlights back. Cisak should have done MUCH better on goals 2 and 3, but the defending leading up to them was a joke. As j say, why the crap did Baudry not play.

All credit to Akinde for his barnstorming defender- terrorising performance but the defending and goal-keeping for our third looks worse every time I see it.

Nolan did absolutely nothing as a player yesterday and needs to decide his priorities while Nicky Hunt should be pensioned off.

Martin Allen had some harsh but fair words to say about Orient

Don't think anything MA has said is harsh there. We've got a top 3 budget minimum and, whilst Cox and McAnuff will take a fair chunk there is still plenty to go around and it's been absolutely pissed up the wall. We've had Gagliardi come back as head of recruitment, but quite frankly Hendon sold us up the river at the start of the season with his abject recruitment policy. Even then though whoever brought in Atangana and Gnanduillet - for a fee - is fucking lucky to be in a job.

Hunt I genuinely do not rate in the slightest. People do, it confuses me. In the minority of one but Clohessy brings far more to the team.

Funnily enough, I don't think Hendon recruited badly when he managed us. It was tactical inflexibility and inability to make any positive changes during a match that condemned him as a manager. I can't believe that he didn't progress in the six years between jobs.
While MA can infuriate a lot at times, he has put together a good starting XI at this level who will compete for each other.

The contrast in future planning between the two sides seems huge. From whats been said Orient need a complete clear out and hope Nolan can build something from scratch. I think most of yesterdays squad are already contracted for next season with Yiadom and Nelson being the exception. Recent signings have definitely improved the side. Pearson at RB is a quality player as shown by his cross for our first goal and Stephens in goal is looking the real deal, bossing the area and making top class saves.
We will need a couple of signings, definitely a right midfielder (Yiadom replacement) and striker (Batt,Lisbie,Mclean replacement). Not sure on the centre back and the search for a creative midfielder, it's possible we have some young players who can do the job but if Stack and Nelson aren't first choice then I think we could do with a wise head at centre back to partner Dembele.

I still don't think Nolan can be fully judged until next season, but he has to decide whether or not he is going to fully concentrate on the management side of things and use himself as a player sparingly - the two quite simply do not work together well enough.

He made us harder to beat for a while, but for the last month the towel has been thrown in from alot of players - It says alot when Ollie Palmer has been your best player recently - And its because of his actual effort rather than technical ability :animatedf: Shaun Brisley has been asymbal the last 2 games and he was excellent when he first joined.

We have 11 players contracted for next season and that includes 2 keepers and Nolan himself. If we're going to be throwing out money again, then we could do worse than signing Akinde and Yiadom from Barnet for example.

The clubs recruitment policy needs looking at, last summer god knows why Hendon did what he did we signed alot of youngsters and whilst you have to give young players a chance, its a huge risk because if they're not good enough you end up stuck with them. Also the situation with regards to Alan Dunne all season has made all parties look moronic, as well as the Jobi McAnuff situation at the start of the season.

We've paid transfer fess for Gnanduillet, Palmer, Essam, Cisak, Atangana and Hunt this season and only Cisak and Atangana for me have been any good, although Palmer has done ok as a 4th choice striker.

There is still a poison running from the top of our club and it comes from the owner, he and his cronies still have absouletly no idea how to run a football club and how to get the best out of ALL your staff, from the tea lady to the kit man, to your head of recruitment to the playing staff. Hence why we've hired three rookie managers in the last 2 seasons - no one with any brains is going to come here and ruin their careers, even Darren Ferguson turned us down!

The loss of Dean Cox has also been huge, but these things have to be managed properly.
