Luton did a huge number on us. We need to get used to the fact that teams will come here and play eleven men behind the ball, we simply didn't look like creating or doing anything, even though Luton let us have the ball for the whole second half.
Brisley got punished for making a bad error and we never really recovered, we created nothing in the second half and our crossing and delivery into the box was laboured and wasteful.
Luton were camped in their own half for the whole second half, yet still forced the games best chance and probably should've made it 2-0. They did defend well to their credit.
I wish Nolan would drop himself, his performances are laboured and we need someone like Jack Payne/Lloyd James to come back into the team and get the ball on the floor.
Also he needs to get some proper wingers in or play Jahralhdo-martin from the start, Playing Clohessy and Moore there will be ok against the weaker sides, but against the better sides it will never work.
We still won't make the play-offs, we are chasing too many teams and have the hardest away fixtures in the division left to come. Home games do look favourable though so we should at least make it interesting, which is more than I was hoping for a few weeks ago! Be nice to have a reason to get enthusiastic about games again.
Nathan Jones now averaging two points per game, over a whole season that's auto promotion. In hindsight we waited too long to pull the trigger on Still, but there you go, understandable why that happened.
Jones doesn't half ride the emotional roller coaster, none of this "never to high never to low" stuff we've been used too!
The grit and determination they showed in the second half today clearly emanates from him, under Still i think we would have eventually folded under that pressure.
On another note I hope the lad who went down with the head injury is ok, looked like he was out for the count for quite a while there, not good to see.
Luton Town have won four games in a row..
yet some of us have trouble letting our emotions flow.
rather than embrace the improving standard of play,
there are those amongst us who have negative things to say.
winning the league is not what I am saying,
but a play off place beckons by the way we are currently playing.
there is no shame in crying out loud..
we are Luton, our embarrassing season could end up making us proud
Absolutely shit game. Two teams hoofing it at each other in the first half and the one time a hoof wasn't defended properly decided it. Second half was attack vs. defence, and the attack was utterly clueless.
