We don't look like scoring, so let us just hope our defense is good enough to keep Luton from scoring.

Unless Coventry come here and try and play us at our own game like Stevenage attempted to do, then I cant see us handing out any batterings.

To be honest, looking at the defensive record you have so far you seem to be the perfect team to play us at the moment, look to keep things tight and organised, keeping shape, and then look to hit us on the break. From all I've heard about Jones he seems to be the sort of player who could pull that off.

Wonder if there will be any changes following the Crawley game, thought a couple looked a bit off the pace which i think is understandable, especially for Stacey who has been playing week in week out at a high level now, he was bound to have a little regression. Would be harsh to drop him after 1 slightly below par performance but with JJ right there with him, I think it might be the right time to give him some game time.

Id slot Mullins in at centre half to replace Sheehan who picked up a suspension, other than that with a weeks rest im not sure we need to make any further changes.

Looking forward to it already, should be a sell out and hopefully a decent atmosphere.

As above Coventry have the best defensive record in the League - maybe the country, without looking I think half a goal a game?- and are exactly the sort to give us a problem. An early goal in this one from us would be nice and set us up as they'd have to come out. I see this as being a tough one and a draw wouldnt surprise me at all.

A game I'm looking forward to as I feel it will give us a better idea of where we are in terms of the promotion places. Coventry are a team that defend well and have some pace up front but may not have the goalscoring ability to beat us should the game be an open affair. As with Stevenage a tough game on paper and one which I would like to start in the same way, that is with an early goal. It gets the crowd turning up the volume, will force Coventry to be more adventurous and create the open game we thrive on. When thats the case we can run up a score against anyone in this league.
Should Coventry pack the defence and frustrate us then it could be a different game. A weeks training and some rest will I hope see a more energetic performance than we had at Crawley. Would also like JJ in the team but not too many changes otherwise. Will be great to see a packed KR. If the game goes our way the roof may be raised slightly. At times against Stevenage the crowd were back to their loud and hostile best. The Kenny of old.
Last game of October and already we have more points than I predicted. Would be great to round if off in style.

Be really harsh to drop Stacey. One bad (by his standard) game from probably the standout player in the whole team over the 15 league games. He will feel the pressure of JJ breathing down his neck but I'd expect him to be given the chance he's earned of a game to keep his place. If Stacey is pushed forward we lose prob Olly Lee who has been very effective too. Just one of those things for JJ

I’m looking forward to this, just can’t see where our goals are coming from and as good as our defence have been I doubt we will get away with a clean sheet. If Duck is on fire maybe a score draw. But in reality, I think we will get tonked!!

Looks like Jodi Jones is playing. Will be vital on the counter tomorrow.

Just took a quick look at the Coventry squad, think they look pretty decent on paper, especially in midfield.

Doyle was part of the Portsmouth midfield that really gave us a bit of a lesson last season, Vincenti has a decent scoring record for a midfield player and everything that I’ve heard about Jones is positive. Up front McNulty has fairly decent scoring record so a bit surprised they haven’t scored many

Think this will be a very tough game, got a feeling it could be a frustrating afternoon for us.

As suspected Coventry look like they will cause problems. Good goal, hit bar. Now we'll see what we've got

Deservedly goal down, we look way off the pace. Coventry look well drilled have pressed us really well in midfield as well. Think we’ll struggle to get back into it as they look a very good defensive side and have a goal to defend.

We loon like we could do with freshening up to be honest.

Gets worse. Battering the other way around than expected by Coventry fans.

Game went pretty much how I thought it would to be honest, Coventry very organised and pressed us well and we had no answer for it. The 2 goals at the end make it look and feel a lot worse than it actually was but still a deserved victory for Coventry. They played us perfectly.

We could do with freshening things up again I feel and using this squad Jones keeps going on about, a number of players looked way off it to me.

Collins for me needs to be doing more in general play, especially as he’s the first to moan at anyone for slightly mis placing any pass to him.

Sad to see that Luton have no longer won every single home game ever against teams when they don't have ten men.

its so frustrating being a Cov fan ,beaten four of the top five yet lost to FGR, Barnet, Yeovil and couldn't beat Chesterfield with all due respect to all them.
We have to sort out how we play against teams who are going through a bad spell and come to defend at all cost.

Coventry were certainly an effective side, very much in the vein of Portsmouth last season (as such McNulty and Doyle were in the side) - not quite sure how it took 93 minutes for the referee to book one of their players considering the "niggliness" of the game. I wouldn't have said we were 3-0 worse on the day, but Exeter weren't 4-1 worse than us 11 days ago. In any case, the right result came on both days regardless of the score itself.

I'm surprised Jones only made the one enforced change - he said himself he wanted to freshen the side up at Crawley, but didn't. I'm wondering if he's kicking himself for not doing so again, because a number of players will need a rest now for the two cup ties this week. Certainly Stacey, definitely Cornick and Collins looked pretty leggy.

It just wasn't going to happen for us today, Coventry got the run of the ball, but they worked hard - the harder you work the luckier you get. The one genuine shot on target was stopped by the keeper's legs from Shinnie and seconds later Hylton should've poked it home, but we just didn't show enough in the final third across the 100 minutes. You can see how Coventry have only conceded the 8 goals - they were strong at the back, whilst quick on the break. They'll be a dangerous side in the next third of the season.

I thought the ref gave us as many poor decisions as he did Luton.

That push on McNulty in the second half as we were breaking was one of the most clear fouls I have seen my life.

Had to ride our luck at time but defensively we were very very solid today. Was a bit worries Haynes coming it at left back would disrupt the defence but we're still solid and now have an extra man to attack with.

Mcdonald and Willis superb, throwing themselves infront of everything.

Shout out Burge as well, huge save with his legs at 1-0. Good to see him shake off that mistake against Forest Green.

We were very dangerous on the counter, shame Luton are the only team that will properly attack us this season from the start because it looks like that is when we are at our best.

Can see why Luton score so many goals, every attack they were throwing numbers forward right from the start, just weren't clinical today.

Much needed win for us, hopefully can kick start a decent run after a poor last few weeks.

In the main I agree with you, some strange decisions all around I thought, but if it’s the “push” I’m thinking of then I’m sorry from my side on view it was a clear dive!

There was a clear trip by Potts in the left back position around the same period inntbe game that I thought looked a blatant foul and I think is a better illustration of your point!
