We've been average at best all season. This a new low. Appalling. No spirit

Couldn't make this one and pretty glad for it now! Back in it at 2-2 now I guess though we sure as hell don't deserve to go up.

Ruddock waste of time .....how many more games will he fail to impress over 90 minutes?
Can't see how he's held in such high esteem
Only shows up in spits and spurts

Unbelievable, still haven't win three games in a row this season. What possible hope is there of this lot performing well for three straight games in the playoffs. None.

I still rate Jones but he has to take responsibility for this awful midfield. He could even have fixed it in January but he just brought in more of the same rubbish in Gambin and D'Ath.

Well done LO's second string/kids/teens.

It is a surprising result but it's not really that hard to fathom I think, in fact I 'only' predicted a narrow 2-1 Luton win on the prediction league. Orient's kids have got nowt to lose, and Luton are well aware there's no catching up Pompey with only the four games to go. So one side with one eye on the play offs, and trying not to pick up any injuries of course, and the other knowing all too well they're going down.

No Oakey, I'm only trying to say why results like this one are only to be expected at this late stage of the season. You lot have all but cemented a play off spot so there's no reason to go all out and risk injuries and suspensions and what not. Just like we did when you lot beat us to the Conference title, as we lost all our final 4 league games and IIRC, failed to score a single goal in the process.

Good stuff this. So it goes on to Monday. That's much better, as Orient are at home and the Sky cameras will have lots of opportunities to film crying fans when they've been relegated.

I'll set my Sky Sports to record Monday afternoon. Tick Tock, Tick Tock.........

I wonder how many gambling addicts are cursing Luton after this result wrecked their Accas? :gr:

Maybe you could set up an ice cream van outside the ground and then run through the seats knocking them from all the kids hands and film them all crying*

*And then piss on E10Rifle's nan.

A draw was about right, but for Luton overall it was a poor result who didn't make the most of their domination in possession in the first half. Second half we changed shape and for once actually caused the opposition problems - Something which we haven't done for literally a month and we managed to score twice whilst on top.

Nearly won it at the end as well when Koroma went through one v one when Luton threw everyone forward, sadly the ball bobbled one too many times and Cuthbert I think it was made a superb tackle.

A good game to be honest, our youngsters have done us proud since they were called upon in January - But a lack of causing teams problems up front has ultimately killed us because we don't take leads in or games or look like scoring enough. Still, a very creditable result from our perspective, Luton gonna have to up their game for the playoffs though.

The first 65 minutes from our perspective was utter crap; the first 20 of the second half was probably the worst spell of football we've had this season. Players were again, not mentally there. Pelly Ruddock is so frustrating sometimes; he's got so much talent, but no brain. Jack Marriott has had a terrible season and can't buy a goal at the moment and doesn't look like scoring. We can't keep carrying players in games.

It was like a game from the Conference days, when occasionally there was an air of inevitability that Luton would win eventually. We took it lightly; we thought the game was done as per Orient's situation.

The bright side was Hylton getting his 25th goal of the season and Vassell coming on who is decidedly improved since the start of the season and looks full of confidence.

The bigger picture is that we need 7 points to guarantee a play off place, but likely to need only 4 from 4 games. We're virtually there. Seemingly, no team seems to be deserving of that fourth promotion spot.

Change of system away from the dreaded diamond - result, two good wins against decent sides.
So what does our maestro of a manager do?
Revert back to a diamond, change the side unnecessarily, no width, no midfield, no discernible tactics, no desire to work hard, no nothing. Just giving the impression that the job was done as soon as they took the lead. Orient were so poor in the first half that any half decent side would have been half a dozen up by then.
Pelly gets deserved plaudits for his performances as deep midfielder, so of course he gets moved so that Olly Lee can get back in, and has been a disaster ever since. Marriott is having the season from hell, yet is selected in place of a player who scares defenders with his pace and work rate. I don't know anyone who can explain what Cook gives the team, yet he walks back into the team following injury. SOD's get his critics, but at least he gets forward and tries to cross, just tell me how many crosses Justin put in today. Midfielders who appear to have little idea how to play the role that Jones insists on playing.
I could go on, but I am off for a lie down after a 194 mile round trip to suffer that utter garbage this afternoon.

E10rifle gave the Luton game a watch back and that's by far the best I've seen Alzate play. Lawson D'Ath is still recovering from being tied up in strings. Not sure how Luton fucked that up though, Hylton was bullying Clark so badly our young defender probably thought he was an Oxford fan circa 2006.
